2025–2026 Northern Africa


Dear ICT Academy Instructors, Students, and Partners,
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Northern Africa. This annual competition provides an international platform for students and teachers to showcase their ICT knowledge, improve practical skills, and foster innovation.

🌍 About the Competition
Since its launch in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition has grown into one of the largest and most influential ICT talent events worldwide. Last year, more than 11,000 students from the Northern Africa Region participated, demonstrating the strong interest and rising influence of this initiative.

The ICT Practice Competition is designed to assess students’ technical foundation and their ability to apply ICT knowledge in real-world scenarios. It covers three major tracks:
1. Network Track – Datacom, Security, WLAN, DCN
2. Cloud Track – Cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI)
3. Computing Track – OpenEuler, OpenGauss, Kunpen.

The Fesseha Atlaw Wolde Yohannes Foundation (FAWYF), in collaboration with STEMpower Inc., is proud to launch the Yearly National Contest for Ethiopic-Based Applications (በኢትዮጵያ ቋንቋዎች መተግበሪያ ፕሮግራሞች (መፕ) ውድድር).

This national competition is dedicated exclusively to Ethiopic-based applications that utilize Ethiopic noscripts, languages, and cultural elements. The contest aims to inspire Ethiopian youth, developers, and technologists to create innovative, locally relevant software solutions addressing pressing societal challenges in healthcare, education, agriculture, and e-commerce.

1st Place: 100,000 ETB

2nd Place: 75,000 ETB
