Comments in Telegram
The Beta version of Telegram for Android now has inline comments on posts. They are based on the function of linking a chat to a channel.
To activate comments, you need to link the chat to the channel.
A user leaving a comment on a post writes a message to the chat without joining it.
If the chat is prohibited from sending messages, media, or slow mode is enabled, these restrictions will apply to comments.

In the beta version of Telegram for Android 7.1, a new menu has appeared in the chat. It is called by a long press on the avatar.
If you hold down an avatar, you can see an enlarged avatar and useful buttons below it: open a dialog or go to a profile. This also works with a repost from a linked channel. If you select a user, an additional "Mention" item appears, which also works with users without usernames.

Telegram had another connection issues
This time, malfunctions in Telegram began to be recorded around midnight Moscow time and lasted more than an hour.
Most of the reported connection issues came from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Latvia, France, Hungary, Iran and Turkey.

Last night Telegram was down for about an hour in Europe due to hardware malfunctioning. Some iOS users who tried to access Telegram during this time may have been logged out and will unfortunately have to relogin.
We have already fixed the iOS app and the update is on the way to the App Store. We are also tweaking our networking software to minimize the risk of such issues in the future.
Telegram has a unique custom-built multi-datacenter infrastructure spead across the globe. This approach allows us to make things very efficient in terms of speed, security and cost, but can also pose some challenges in times of rapid growth. Each week, at least 10 million new users sign up for Telegram, and we are constantly scaling both our software and hardware.
Apologies for the downtime. We know how important it is for you to be able to access your messages 24/7 and we are working hard to achieve 100% uptime.

Some users asked whether comments will become the default mode for channels. While we think it’s fun to comment on channels, most channels don’t need commenting, so it will remain optional and disabled by default.
That said, native comments are a great upgrade for channels that had been previously relying on the web comments bot. Native comments are faster, more feature-rich for posting and moderating, and have built-in reply notifications.
Some users rightly pointed out that Telegram native comments look like chats rather than the two-level comments you can find on social networks. That’s exactly the point - Telegram is not a social network, but a messaging app.
While many people successfully use Telegram to distribute information among millions of users (posts broadcasted by channels generate over 350 billion views monthly), Telegram will remain an easy-to-use minimalist tool, with chats at the center of the user experience.

Chat owner anonymity by default
Now, if you create a chat through the group linking menu to the channel, the creator automatically becomes anonymous.
When assigning administrators, the creator will have to manually assign them anonymity permission. The role of the administrator will still be listed in the body of the message.
It is important to remember that chat administrators see the owner in the list of participants, as well as his activity in the "Recent activities" section.
A regular chat members will not be able to find out what messages the anonymous administrator wrote.

Telegram continua a rimanere tra le 10 app più scaricate al mondo. Infatti a Settembre, stando al report di SensorTower, l'applicazione occupava la posizione n° 9 come download all'interno di Google Play Store.
Stessa posizione viene occupata da Telegram in modo complessivo.

It is worth noting that it was in the European data center that several failures occurred in a couple of months, as a result of which there were problems with access to the messenger throughout Eurasia. The European segment remains the most problematic among the rest of Telegram's infrastructure.
Responsibilities: creation, development, maintenance and troubleshooting of European Telegram infrastructure and network equipment, work with suppliers and representatives of data centers, participation in operational procedures, effective work with field projects.
Preferences: years of experience in troubleshooting and operating data centers, high knowledge of cabling and more, multitasking, dedication, ability to work in the EU without sponsorship.
