The Release from Deception
Not a single rope can be found in the image, as it was intricately carved from a soli a masterpiece created by Italian sculptor Francesco Queirolo in 1759 after seven years of painstaking work.
The sculpture depicts an angel freeing a fisherman from a net, symbolizing the liberation of man from his sins.
Its level of detail and complexity was so astounding that 18th-century philosopher Giangiuseppe Origlia referred to it as "the last and most challenging test to which sculpture in marble can aspire."
Queirolo worked tirelessly on his magnum opus without any assistance or a dedicated workspace. Even other sculptors were afraid to touch the delicate net in fear of it breaking into pieces. "The Release from Deception" is now housed at the Sansevero Chapel in Naples, alongside other incredible marble works like "The Veiled Christ" (1753) by Giuseppe Sanmartino and "The Veiled Truth" (1750) by Antonio Corradini.

in Barcelona was designed by architect Enric Sagnier and completed in 1961. It sits on the summit of Mount Tibidabo and features a neo-Byzantine crypt and Roman-Gothic church. The dome is crowned by a large bronze statue of the Sacred Heart, created by Josep Miret in 1950. The temple was built to prevent a Protestant church and hotel-casino from being built on the highest point of the city.
