New study: Vitamin D, 60,000 IU daily for 7 days

Greater proportion turned Covid negative than on placebo, 60% vs 20%

Fibrinogen decreased. Important because clotting affects Covid severity

In conclusion, a high dose, oral vitamin D supplementation helped to achieve SARS-CoV-2 RNA negativity in greater proportion of asymptomatic vitamin D-deficient individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection along with a significant decrease in inflammatory marker.

SARS-CoV-2 RNA negativity by cholecalciferol supplementation may help in reducing transmission rates of the highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 infection.

A reassurance for public health workers regarding greater likelihood of SARS CoV-2 RNA negativity in individuals receiving therapeutic cholecalciferol supplementation will be encouraging.

Vitamin D and COVID-19: Is There a Lack of Risk/Reward Understanding
Among Health Authorities?

At this point, the discussion should not be about whether it is helpful to take vitamin D during the COVID-19 pandemic or not, but rather about what dose to take and how to distribute vitamin
D effectively among the population.

Even if very promising vaccines are now entering production, it will likely take many months before they are available to all vulnerable groups.
Further, one does not need to be an “anti-vaxxer” to understand that there can be considerable risk with a new vaccine. We recommend that health authorities act now and recommend vitamin
D supplements based on risk/reward analysis.

It's been a week for unexplained phallic sculptures in the wild. First the

Utah monolith disappeared

Rumania

Now a 6 foot 6 inch penis statue has disappeared from Grünten mountain in Bavaria, Germany, leaving behind a stump, sawdust, and lingering mystery.
Erected four years ago in equally mysterious circumstances, the enormous Penis quickly became a hiking landmark and local attraction.

Local paper Allgaeuer Zeitung reports that police in Kempten, Bavaria are currently investigating the case . However, it's unclear if any offence has actually been committed. The owner of the sculpture is still unknown so there is no clear victim in this penile kidnapping .
The huge penis simply appeared on the mountainside one day with no explanation,
there are currently no clues regarding the sculpture disappearance,
