⚡️🇪🇺👨‍💻 EU Digital Services Act (DSA) now in force, threatens companies with heavy fines if they fail to regulate "disinformation and hate speech."

Tech sites with 45 million active users now have duty to "effectively counter disinformation" and to prevent "harmful content from spreading, banning or limiting certain user-targeting practices."

If companies violate DSA, they face fine of up to 6% of their global turnover or a complete ban from Europe in case of repeat violations.
