In yet another violation of the agreements and the truce, armed factions affiliated with the interim government targeted residential neighborhoods in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh districts with heavy weapons and Grad rockets. These artillery strikes by the STG on the Kurdish neighbourhoods in Aleppo are not just a handful of mortar rounds - they are of significant scale.
The STG is using heavy artillery against the Kurdish people in Aleppo.
The goal is to provoke a war between the SDF and the STG - the STG believes that the SDF will intervene to protect the Kurdish neighbourhoods in Aleppo if the STG kills enough Kurds there.
This is not coincidental - the STG does not want an integration of the SDF into the STG but as the agreement has been made, they’re forced to do it - thus they decide to provoke the SDF into a military confrontation as basis for cancelling the agreement.
That’s the nature of the STG under Jolani.
