Statement by the Asayish Command of Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyah:
“Our commanders Ziyad Halab and Azad Halab led the resistance from the first moments with a fedayi spirit, fighting shoulder to shoulder with their comrades and the people, moving trench to trench and street to street, becoming a source of morale and steadfastness.”
One of the commanders stated:
“We are children of this land. We were born here, raised here, and we will remain here. We will fight until our last breath, street by street and house by house. We have chosen martyrdom. There is no other decision for us.”
“Their resistance became a symbol of dignity, honor, and struggle for all of Kurdistan, and a legacy that will guide future generations.”

Due to the harsh conditions of war and conflict, we lost contact with some of our comrades and, despite all our efforts, were unable to obtain any information.
However, it has been confirmed that our comrade Azad Halep was not martyred. Contact has been made with him, and he has reached a safe location, albeit wounded.
