SDF forces repelled the attack in Deir Ez-Zor!

SDF: Our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, thwarted today, Saturday, a terrorist attack carried out by a cell affiliated with the terrorist organization “ISIS”, which targeted a military vehicle of our forces in the village of “Al-Takihi”, which belongs to the “Al-Basira” area, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, while it was carrying out its routine work in maintaining the security and safety of the region.

Our forces seized an RPG launcher with its projectile, in addition to one of the motorcycles used by the terrorists during the attack.

The attack was carried out by six terrorists riding motorcycles, and they were carrying machine guns and RPG launchers.

Security source:A delegation from the international coalition forces was subjected to gunfire near the city of Palmyra in central Syria.
Members of the American forces and Syrian public security were injured in gunfire near Palmyra.
The delegation from the coalition forces and Syrian forces was on a mission to review a plan to combat the ISIS organization.
American helicopters intervened to evacuate the injured to the al-Tanf base after the delegation was subjected to gunfire.

The US military has launched an air-supported ground operation against an armed group that carried out an attack on its forces around Palmyra in Syria.

Military activity is underway in the
region, both in the air and on the ground, following the attack. The US has sent reinforcements to the area.

According to preliminary information, one member of the so-called General Security Forces was killed, and 3 American soldiers and 4 members of the so-called General Security Forces were wounded.

A message of condolences from Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, regarding the recent attack targeting HTS and the US-led International Coalition:

"We express our regret for the injury of a number of General Security personnel and American soldiers who were subjected to gunfire in the Syrian desert while carrying out their duties.

More and more reinforcements of US forces are arriving in Palmyra, Syria - where a joint STG x USA patrol was ambushed today resulting in at least 3 wounded US soldiers.

Accompanied by US jets and helicopters, it does look like the US forces will carry out a large scale operation to comb the area.

An interesting observation: the Tanf-FSA forces who are now formally part of the STG seem to be excluded from the operation, they are only accompanying the convoys and deployed to block off the roads.
