Hevrin Xelef, murdered Oct. 13, 2019, during the invasion by Turkey and affiliated jihadist gangs. A lifelong politician and civil engineer, Hevrin was active in promoting women's rights and was general secretary of the Syria Party of the Future.

⚡️ Turkish backed Islamists launch offensive against Rojava
According to the latest reports, Islamist militias allied with Turkey have launched an offensive against the democratic self-administration in northern and eastern Syria (Rojava).
The Tel Rifaat region south of the Afrin region, which was occupied in 2018, and the Kurdish districts of Aleppo are currently at risk of being surrounded by Islamist forces. A number of advances in the region have also been reported, although the exact extent cannot yet be estimated.
The self-administration had already declared a general mobilization at midday in order to protect the region and defend the self-administration.
According to estimates, around 200,000 refugees from Afrin live in the region alongside the local population, and the Islamist militias currently invading the region have repeatedly committed atrocities and war crimes against the local population since 2018.

Statement by Our SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazlum Abdi Regarding the Recent Developments in Northwestern Syria
The situation in northwest Syria has developed rapidly and suddenly, with our forces facing intense attacks from multiple fronts. Following the collapse and withdrawal of the Syrian Army and its allies, we intervened to establish a humanitarian corridor between our eastern regions, Aleppo, and the Tal Rifaat, with the aim of protecting our people from potential massacres.
The attacks of the armed groups backed by the Turkish occupation have disrupted this corridor.
Our forces have valiantly defended our people in Aleppo, Tal Rifa’at, and al-Shahba’a
We are actively coordinating with all relevant parties in Syria to ensure the safety of our people and facilitate their secure relocation from the Tal Rifa’at and Shahba’a areas to our safe areas in the northeast of the country
Concurrently, our forces continue to resist to protect our people residing in the Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo.

In the midst of the the ongoing war of imperial and islamist forces against the people of the Middle East, Turkey uses the situation to carry out one of the largest attacks against Rojava and Syria since 2019. As part of Turkey's Neo-Ottoman project to become the hegemonic power in the region, the Turkish state aims to liquidate revolutionary Rojava and further destabilize Syria.
We call on all democratic, revolutionary, and solidarity forces around the world to:
1. Protest against institutions and profiteers of the Turkish state
2. Organize rallies and actions to raise awareness of the attacks and expose the complicity of international powers, especially the role of Turkey and Islamist forces

Results of the "ROJAVA REVOLUTION TOUR" in the Netherlands (24 November - 1 December)
The "Tour for Life", "ASEED","Urban Front", "True Counterpower" and several other organizations in the netherlands organized a cicle of seminars about the Revolution in Rojava in various cities in the Netherlands from the 24th November until the 1st December.
The tour counted with the participation of a delegation of the European Council of the PYD and the DAANES representations in Europe.
As part of the presentation, the historical context of the Kurdish liberations struggle was explained as well as the system of Democratic Confederalism and the principles of the paradigm of Democratic Modrenity.
Deep discussions were made on how internationals on the Netherlands can support the resistence in Rojava and how the Revolution can strenghten the struggles in Europe. Several organizations, cooperatives and grassroots NGO's got awarness of the Peoples' Platform Europe and will be registering to it in the comming days.

The YPJ (Kurdish Women's Defense Units) confirmed the capture of women from the Şêxmeqsûd Defense Forces in Aleppo by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries.
In their statement, the YPJs denounced the cruel treatment of women prisoners by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries and appealed to international organizations to protect the rights of prisoners of war.
