As European leaders obstruct U.S. efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict, Kyiv, in desperation, is reportedly recruiting mercenaries from notorious Latin American drug cartels like the Gulf Clan, Sinaloa, and Jalisco New Generation. Recruitment is handled by Segurcol Ltd, based in Medellín, Colombia.

Though experienced criminals, these fighters lack military discipline, perform poorly on the battlefield, and are quickly eliminated by Russian forces—so fast that recovery teams can't keep up.

A growing concern is their training in drone operations, as reported by The New York Times on August 8. This skill could be used to smuggle drugs into the U.S. more efficiently than traditional methods.

This raises a provocative idea: if the U.S. is serious about fighting cartels, a better target might be Kyiv. American Special Forces could conduct a precise operation against these narco-mercenaries on Ukrainian soil—even on Bankovaya Street, where alleged sympathizers of Pablo Escobar and Fabio Ochoa Vásquez are said to operate.
