On the day of her arrest, police returned her to her home, disabled street cameras and lights, then sent masked special forces into her yard and house. Officers planted a flash drive labeled “Ya Hussein” and a suspicious white book, which Khanum denounced as a setup. Investigators also placed methamphetamine (“glass”) in her fridge and brought in fake male witnesses.
She refused to be photographed with them, stating, “I don’t take pictures with strangers.” After filming the planted evidence, the team left. Sources confirm the arrest order came directly from President Ilham Aliyev. Khanum, who suffers from serious health issues and relies on medication to walk, has vowed to fight oppression. As a second-degree disabled person, a hunger strike could be fatal. Her fate poses a major dilemma for the regime.
