Recent updates from InviteMember

You can now broadcast messages of all types: photos, gifs, stickers, audios, voice notes, videos, video notes, documents, locations, etc. (Project > Telegram bot > Broadcast).

Your bot is now showing invite links in the same message ("Join channel/group" button is replaced with invite link for 3 seconds). A customer should simply double-click the button to get inside.

We've implemented a new algorithm for showing invite links. It's more user-friendly but less secure (no more errors like "the invite link is invalid or expired"). If you wish to try it out, please contact @InviteMemberSupportBot.

Your bot is now asking for email when someone is starting his free no-CC trial.

If you've enabled no-cc free trial for a subnoscription plan, your bot will show it as the only payment option to the new users (to avoid confusion).
Banning users in your membership bot

If someone behaves badly, you can now ban that person in just a few seconds.

Just open your membership bot and type:
/ban XXX

Where XXX — Telegram userId (you can find it in Telegram Bot > List users or in @userinfobot).

To unban, use:
/unban XXX

Multi-use access codes can be activated multiple times by different users (but once per user, of course).

Such codes are great for gifts and promotions of many kinds. You can use them on your website, email newsletter or social media.

To generate a new multi-use code, please use /newcodemulti command (or open Payment options > Access Codes menu).

Priceless Subnoscription Plans

You can now create subnoscription plans that don't have a price and can only be activated with an Access Code.

To make a plan "priceless", go to Edit plan page and enable Pay with Access Code only parameter. That's it!

Stripe Integration Updated

On 14 September 2019, new requirements for authenticating online payments will be introduced in Europe as part of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2).

Your business is affected if all of the following apply:
🇪🇺 Your business is based in the European Economic Area (EEA);
🇪🇺 You serve customers in the EEA;
💳 You accept cards (credit or debit).

In order to comply with PSD2, we updated our Stripe integration to support SCA (Strong Customer Authentication). Starting today, we're using the newest Stripe Checkout for all payments & subnoscriptions created with InviteMember.

Stripe Checkout is a smart and responsive payment page that has Dynamic 3D Secure support (SCA-ready) and already localized in 14 languages.

Your membership bots are already updated. To reduce failed payments, we highly recommend enabling automated emails in "Manage payments that require 3D Secure" section of Billing Settings page in Stripe Dashboard. You can also customize your logo and color on Branding page, it will affect your Stripe Checkout page look and feel.

iDEAL payments from customers in 🇳🇱 the Netherlands

InviteMember users in Europe and the United States can now accept payments using iDEAL, the most popular payment method in the Netherlands.

To add iDEAL button to your membership bot, you must activate it in Stripe Dashboard first, then open Stripe Live/Test in Payment options (@InviteMemberBot) and click "Refresh". InviteMember will reload payment methods available to your Stripe account and show "iDEAL: Enabled".

Recurring Subnoscriptions for PayPal

We
're happy to announce that recurring subnoscriptions with PayPal are now available!

To use them, make sure to set Recurring to ON in your plan settings. For one-time payments, this parameter must be OFF.

Supported features:
any billing periods (from 1 day to 1 year)
subnoscription cancellation through the bot
free trial periods (up to 30 days)
mobile-first checkout page with billing info
links to PayPal dashboard in subnoscription notifications

Please review your subnoscription plans Recurring parameter as now it will affect if PayPal is selected as a payment method.

Google Pay is coming to Stripe Checkout

Stripe team has just announced that they're adding Google Pay to Stripe Checkout next week!

Google Pay will be turned on Checkout pages automatically on November 7, no actions required on your side.

If you’d prefer not to offer Google Pay as a payment option, you can turn it off in the Stripe Dashboard.
Customer Support via Telegram

Customer support via Telegram can be hard. Especially, at scale.

🤔 Having a second Telegram account will keep your business and private chats separated, but it won't give you professional support features like saved replies, snoozing and closing conversations, automated feedback collection, etc.

CoinPayments System Upgrade / Downtime Notice

Just in case you haven't received it, here's the official notice from CoinPayments:

In our constant effort to improve your experience, we will be undergoing a brief upgrade on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 5 PM UTC / 12 PM EST for up to 4 hours.
