Agents for the Preservation of Virtue and Elimination of Vice
When we were in prison, many people embraced Islam, all praise is due to Allah. They used to say, “The whole compound became Muslim because of the Jibrils.” They were referring to me and Ahmad.
I spent my days in prison teaching. Every morning, I would go out to the track and announce, “If you want to learn, follow me. If you’re just here to waste time, I don’t want to see you.” And they would come, ready to learn.
Anyone who teaches people about Islam represents the Prophet (ﷺ), this is what it means to be a deputy of the Prophet (ﷺ).
Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says:
“Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ ‘This is my way. I invite to Allah with insight — I and those who follow me…’” (Surat Yusuf: 108)
The most important thing to teach, is ‘Aqeedah. Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illa Allah, there is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone. Negation, then affirmation.
Whenever people would change, Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) would send a Prophet with a new message, abrogating what came before. Despite their different times and communities, all 124,000 Prophets, and 314 Messengers (عليهم الصلاة والسلام), were sent with one purpose:
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." (Surat An-Nahl: 36)
This is our way, and we strive to make it everyone’s way. Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says:
“You are the best nation raised for mankind — you enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong…” (Surat Aal ’Imran: 110)
To enjoin good and forbid evil is to preserve the moral compass of society. Every Muslim should aspire to this, even if not everyone takes on the responsibility.
Abu Umama al-Bahili said that:
Two men, one learned and the other devout, were mentioned to God’s messenger, who then said, “The superiority of the learned man over the devout man is like mine over the most contemptible among you,” adding, “God, His angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its hole and even the fish invoke blessings on him who teaches men what is good.”
(Mishkat al-Masabih 213, 214)

Al-Fashir has become the new Gaza, a genocide unfolding in plain sight while the world remains silent. The people there endure horrors as grave as, if not worse than, those faced by our brothers and sisters in Gaza, and comparable to the atrocities that Syrians suffered under Bashar’s tyranny.
This injustice cannot go unnoticed. It demands global outrage and unwavering solidarity from Muslims everywhere.
Behind this oppression stands the UAE’s corrupt and wicked ṭāghūt, Muhammad ibn Zayed, arming, funding, and supporting killers, spreading tyranny from one land to another.
O Allah, he has transgressed throughout the land and spread corruption, so unleash upon him every form of severe punishment.
Protect our brothers and sisters in Al-Fashir, and safeguard all those oppressed around the world.

We kindly ask everyone to make sincere du‘ā for our beloved Shaykh, who is currently unwell and has been taken to hospital. This weighs deeply on our hearts, he has spent his life guiding, uplifting, and supporting this Ummah always placing others before himself. His presence is a mercy and his sacrifices are known only to Allah.
May Allah grant him complete shifā’, cure him from every illness, bless him with strength, comfort, and tranquility. May Allah prolong his life in goodness, protect him from harm, and reward him for every moment he has served the deen. O Allah, elevate his ranks through this hardship, forgive his shortcomings, and envelop him in Your mercy. Return him to us in the best of health, with a heart at peace and a body strengthened by Your Mercy. Make him among Your beloved servants whose lives are filled with barakah and whose efforts continue to benefit the Ummah.

When Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) tested Shaykh Musa (حفظه الله تعالى) with trials weeks ago, his joyous and upbeat demeanor did not falter for a second, rather it increased. And when advised to step back from speaking with others, he firmly refused, asking ALL who reach out to speak with him be sent his way, Allahumma barek Lahu.
His own trials only strengthened his resolve to help others. Anytime Allah resolved a conflict through him, he rejoiced, celebrating and weeping in joy.
When we spoke to the Shaykh during this health crisis, may Allah protect him, he did not complain once. Though his voice bore the weight of fatigue, he spoke with unwavering strength, constantly praising Allah.
Trials reveal true character, so what do we say of someone whose character only grew more radiant through them? May Allah protect him, preserve him, grant him full Shifaa' and a long life filled with good deeds.
As always, please reach out to the Shaykh’s Instagram for any assistance or questions, or call, InshaAllah.

No trial lasts. In fact they are a blessed time for the believer, as they divert all one’s needs and attention back to Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).
Allah loves to hear the broken cry of His slave. The call of a bird who lost its wings. Allah is with the broken hearts, they weep while the hard heart does not.
Some reports from the Tābiʿīn and the righteous carry this same meaning. Among them:
Farqad al-Sabakhī said:
“It has reached us that all deeds are weighed, except for a tear that comes from the eye of a servant out of fear of Allah. It has no weight and no measure; indeed, with a single tear, seas of fire are extinguished.”
Narrated by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in al-Riqqa wa al-Bukāʾ (p. 46).
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Nothing is dearer to God than two drops and two marks, a drop of tears from fear of God and a drop of blood shed in God’s path.”
