The Brian Boru Harp on display in Trinity College, Dublin. An Irish national icon, it's one of only three surviving medieval Gaelic harps.
The Brian Boru Harp was once in the possession of King Henry VIII. He identified it as property of Donnchadh O’Brien, 'sixth in descent from the great hero of Clontarf.'

If Ireland wanted at any time post independence the Irish state could have very easily replicated Pearse's Scoil Éanna for most Irish schools.

Every child in Ireland given a Gaelicised Spartan education.

Instead they choose a 2nd rate version of the English system.
