I was raised a Roman Catholic for the first 18 years of my life. I can totally relate Laura. I made communion at 7, confirmation at 13, went on catholic retreats at 16, was yanked out of public school every wed to attend Catechism classes at my local parish, said the rosary, believed Mary was mediator between us and Jesus, believed I had to go to Purgatory when I died..God graciously called me out a year after I was saved. And when I heard the glorious Gospel for the first time, the rosary beads went right in the garbage along with all the instructional catechism books ( Praise God). I too never heard the Gospel when in catechism class. As a Catholic, all one hears is the catechism and church teachings. I encourage everyone- please pray for Roman Catholics, they are seriously indoctrinated and deceived. They are precious souls that God loves. Please pray for them! Maranatha to all ✝❤
