Pop culture sells us inverts as world-saving heroes in, for example, the X-men movies ( X stands for crossing opposites ) or Harry Potter. Ordinary people, who are manipulated and duped by inverts mostly to make money, are portrayed here as stupid ignoramuses intolerant of difference. They see mutants as dangerous and want to isolate them or restrict their rights.
Mutant heroes in X-Men, on the other hand, tend to be portrayed as misunderstood and rejected by society, which is contrary to reality because they are actually superior to regular people in all parts of society.

In the world of Harry Potter, the wizarding community exists alongside ordinary people. Wizards argue about who is the real wizard. Whether the pure-blooded one or even the one from the Muggle ( non-magical) family. 🧐
"How come the Muggles can't hear the bus?" Harry wondered.

In our world, the advantage of "magicians" is that we can't see them. Who would accept that they are more interesting and smarter (they aren't) if we saw that they are not like us? Who would admire them? How many of them would be able to make a living if Muggles didn't believe they were special? They can lie to us about everything and take advantage of the fact that we have no reason to be suspicious from a young age!
