Glenn Back added up the sum total of overnight loans given out by the Fed and claimed they had invented all that money out of thin air and diluted the dollar in the process.

The same dollars can be lent out two weeks from now as are lent out tonight and paid back tomorrow morning.
He simply doesn’t understand how the repo markets work. I recommend he read “Fixed Income Markets: Management, Trading and Hedging (Wiley Finance) 2nd Edition” by Moorad Choudhry.
