They wonder why American men don’t want to sign up to risk limb and limb for the country in the Armed Forces at high rates anymore.
And then you see the Bidenites want to subject them to gender sensitivity training and feed them fungus meat Frankenfood and it all comes into focus.

.@_WilliamsonBen, this is why I refused to answer any of their substantive questions and stood executive privilege, a host of others, and my constitutional rights.
The Star Chamber, predetermined setup job of the J6 Committee was obvious from the start.

I haven’t spoken much about the below incident publicly due to ongoing investigations — but given the good work of today’s House Admin report on the J6 Committee and its revelations on possible “witness tampering,” I’d like to share a relevant episode involving…

Just a friendly reminder (as the DC Bar currently convenes to discuss his law license removal) that one of the smartest lawyers in the country @JeffClarkUS has been maligned by reporters, the deep state, courts, and turncoat former Trump lawyers....and he's…
In JournoLawfare™️ zealot Harry Litman’s latest podcast, the Attorney General of Colorado Phil Weiser came on as a guest.
Showing how out of touch these people are and focused on minutiae and microaggression grievance mongering, before he used the phrase “We are a government of laws, not men,” Weiser apologized for “the gendered language.”
This small episode also shows that these folks have no ear for the English language. Saying, for instance, “We are a government of laws, not people,” robs the statement of all of its rhetorical force and renders it blasé.

I don’t know if I believe Carter over Bell here.
But the larger point is that the President fully possesses this power. The reason Carter might have felt sheepish about admitting what he did to Mitchell is that it undermines the post-Watergate myth that DOJ is independent of the President. (BOP is part of DOJ.)
In other words, when push came to shove, Carter may not even have believed his own DOJ independence myth when the rubber met the road.

I met Jimmy Carter once, in London, ca 2005. I asked him about what his own attorney general, Griffin Bell, had told me: that as president, Carter ordered the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to deny the parole of former Attorney General John Mitchell, of Watergate.…
