Joel is in good spirits and has stated he feels emboldened by this injustice.

I can attest to this as well.

Being in jail and abused by the system in this manner only confirmed and entrenched my resolve. It also motivated me to take everything much more seriously and I've achieved much more than I otherwise would have since I was released.
