❗️🇸🇦/🇦🇪/🇾🇪 BREAKING:
Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes on two ships in the Yemeni port of Mukalla carrying weapons from the United Arab Emirates for STC (Southern Transitional Council) forces
issues warning to Abu Dhabi

Saudi airstrikes ships from the UAE carrying Armored vehicles and weapons for UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) separatists.

Tensions between Saudi-backed and UAE-backed forces have escalated sharply after pro-UAE forces seized large parts of eastern Yemen, ignoring Saudi warnings.

❗️🇸🇦/🇦🇪/🇾🇪 Saudi Foreign Ministry:

The steps taken by the United Arab Emirates are inconsistent with the foundations on which the coalition to support the legitimate government in Yemen was based.

The UAE must respond to Yemen's request for the withdrawal of Emirati military forces from the Republic of Yemen within 24 hours.

We hope that the UAE will take the expected steps to preserve the bilateral relations between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.'

🇸🇦🇦🇪🇾🇪 Allies turned adversaries: the Saudi-UAE fight for Yemen's future

A Saudi airstrike on two UAE weapons shipments in Yemen has exploded the façade of Gulf alliance, revealing a fierce proxy struggle for control.

The target was the port of Mukalla in Hadramaut province. The vessels, carrying Emirati arms to southern separatists, were destroyed by their former coalition partner.

This bold move signals that Riyadh is now in direct and open confrontation with Abu Dhabi.

🚨😱😳Here's what you need to know:

‼️ Fractured alliance: Saudi Arabia and the UAE once fought side-by-side against the Houthis, with southern separatists as allies. Now, those separatists—backed by the UAE—threaten Saudi border security by pushing for autonomy in strategic Hadramaut province

🎯 Abu Dhabi's gambit: the UAE's deep support for the Southern Transitional Council (STC) — the southern separatists government — is strategic. In return, the STC has effectively granted the UAE control over the vital Socotra Island in the Gulf of Aden

🎯The pretext: Saudi forces struck on December 30 after claiming the Emirati ships had disabled trackers and offloaded weapons without coalition approval. The reason, however, runs deeper

🎯The real stakes: this is less about border defense and more about controlling the Gulf of Aden. The UAE's rising influence, through partners like the STC, threatens Saudi shipping lanes and, by extension, the kingdom's food security and regional dominance

🎯Riyadh's risky play: squeezed between Houthi threats and Emirati expansion, Saudi Arabia is making a power move. With the UAE's partners gaining ground—even aided by Israel's recognition of Somaliland—Riyadh sees asserting dominance in Hadramaut as critical

🎯Saving the power: for Saudi Arabia, striking the UAE's proxies in Yemen is a calculated bid to reclaim its influence without relying on the US. It's a high-stakes warning to Abu Dhabi: back down in Hadramaut, or the conflict between us becomes the main event

🇸🇦🇾🇪🇾🇪🇦🇪- The situation in Yemen has reached breaking point with the YNA and Saudi coalition demanding that civilians evacuate the Yemeni port of Mukalla in Hadhramaut until further notice, before the start of a military operation.

➡️ The Saudi Coalition is also demanding that the UAE forces withdraw from Yemeni territory within 24 hours, which has been rejected by the UAE, who has now changed its tune and is calling for no war and deescalation on all sides.

Alongside this, clashes continue between the STC and the YNA, while war between the UAE and Saudi seem inevitable.

#BREAKING: The UAE has announced that it will withdraw its military personnel in Yemen, hours after Saudi Arabia struck its Yemeni allies and made an extremely rare public condemnation of Abu Dhabi's conduct in the country.

🇸🇦🇾🇪🇾🇪🇦🇪— The UAE has released a statement that they will retreat from Yemen to avoid conflict.

The United Arab Emirates has participated in the Arab Coalition since 2015 in support of the legitimate government in Yemen, to support international efforts in combating terrorist organizations, and to achieve security and stability in Yemen. The sons of the UAE have made significant sacrifices in pursuit of these goals.

The UAE Armed Forces ended their military presence in Yemen in 2019 after completing their assigned tasks within the agreed-upon official frameworks. The remaining presence was limited to specialized teams working within counterterrorism efforts and in coordination with relevant international partners.

The Ministry of Defense announces the voluntary withdrawal of the remaining counterterrorism teams from Yemen, ensuring the safety of their personnel, and in coordination with relevant partners.
