Hello everyone! Today, we are delivering all of the February happenings to you in this new blog post, including new technical leadership, design contest, an interview with our Head of Design, Russian FAQ...

And a suprise!

We are extremely pleased to announce that we are ready to share a still-evolving draft of our Keep Random Beacon Yellowpaper with our community and we welcome your feedback.

For now, it will remain in our Slack, until we finalize it further. We invite you to have a look and let us know what you think.

Included in the yellowpaper is a comprehensive overview of the beacon operation and an early draft of the pricing. As it's still in active development, many details are subject to change as we continue to have it reviewed by community members, mentors, as well as academic and technical advisors.

We're looking forward to discussing it with you!

A trusted, decentralized source of random numbers on Ethereum is what our team has been working towards. The Keep Random Beacon is the first component of the Keep privacy protocol we are launching to mainnet in 2019. We would like to elaborate on why it is essential to release this feature first.

Trusted randomness is the core foundation of decentralization. It removes the need for involvement of a centralized player, oracle or other external entity, allowing for mutual trust across an open network.

In our newest article, we put together the overview of randomness on public blockchains and the reasoning behind our focus on the Random Beacon.

We are looking forward to discussing it with you in our Slack!
