Government Overreach – Once established, scope could expand into surveillance far beyond its original purpose. History shows such systems rarely shrink. 6. Equality Issues – Many Australians, especially the elderly, rural, or disadvantaged, may struggle with the technology, leading to exclusion from essential services. 7. Lack of Transparency – Australians have not been given a direct say on this major change, nor full clarity on how data will be used. 8. For a week from Monday 3 November we are NOT shopping at Coles, Woolies and Bunnings! It’s time they realised who holds the reigns in this relationship. No shopping for one whole week, buy essentials at other outlets.

Let’s hit them where it hurts - in their tills! And together we will tell them NO DIGITAL IDS!

Four days to OPPOSE the proposed ‘CASH ACCEPTANCE’ regulations!

We only have this week to get submissions to the Department of Treasury that show we know the proposed ‘Cash Acceptance’ regulations are a SHAM. Act Now!

You don't have to be an accomplished author. Just one or two sentences reflecting your genuine concern can make an impact.

1. Make a submission by 31 Oct at:

Use the submission to tell Jim Chalmers:

▪️ The cash mandate needs to apply to ALL physical retailers.
▪️ The current proposal leaves out medicines, housing, utility bills and many other essential items we need to LIVE. The cash mandate needs to apply to ALL ESSENTIALS.
▪️ The current proposal is clearly designed to allow retailers to reject cash payments.
▪️ Supermarkets need to have at least 50% of their terminals ready to accept cash.
▪️ The $500 limit is TOO LOW. There's plenty of essential bills we pay that cost more than $500.

2. Contact ALL your state senators and your local member of parliament. This is important. Tell them a Motion of Disallowance is likely to come from the House or Senate and urge them to support it to defeat these proposed regulation changes.
