The record for the most children born to one woman is 69, held by Valentina Vassilyeva (1707–1782), a Russian peasant from Shuya. Over 27 pregnancies between 1725 and 1765, she gave birth to 16 sets of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets, with 67 surviving infancy.
Key Details About the Record:
• Validity: While officially cited by Guinness World Records, the case is often viewed with skepticism by historians due to the lack of contemporary primary birth records.
• The Family: She was the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev, who reportedly fathered a total of 87 children with two wives.
• Context: The report was reportedly sent to Moscow by the Monastery of Nikolsk on February 27, 1782, documenting the births.
• Physical Feasibility: Medical professionals have noted the extreme, though statistically possible, nature of these high-order multiple births, especially in the 18th century.

A cold-weather phenomenon affecting trees in Canada has gained attention due to the way it’s being described in viral social media posts.
NOTE: Trees do not explode due to cold weather. Being that I'm a northerner and have lived in the state of Massachusetts all my life I have never seen or heard of this. Spoken to two Canadians and they haven't either. Nobody in the North has ever seen or heard of an exploding tree. So the next time you hear something that has to do with cold weather, ask your local northerner. Because nobody will know more than them.

No, people with anemia should not donate blood because it further depletes their iron and hemoglobin, putting their health at risk and potentially leading to dizziness, fatigue, and shortness of breath; blood donation centers screen for low iron/hemoglobin levels and will defer anemic individuals until their levels are healthy, which may involve dietary changes or supplements.
Why Anemia Prevents Donation
• Low Hemoglobin: Anemia means you lack enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin to carry oxygen, so donating would worsen this deficiency.
• Risk to Donor: Giving blood when anemic can cause or worsen symptoms like weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, and fatigue.
• Quality of Blood: Iron-deficient blood may not be as effective at delivering oxygen to recipients.
Eligibility Requirements
• Hemoglobin Check: Blood banks perform a finger-stick test to check hemoglobin levels before donation.
• Minimum Levels: Female donors need at least 12.5 g/dL and males need 13.0 g/dL.
• Deferral: If your levels are too low, you'll be asked to wait, often for at least 30 days, to allow your body to recover.
What to Do If You're Anemic
• Focus on Iron: Eat iron-rich foods (like red meat, beans, spinach) and take iron supplements if recommended by a doctor.
• Talk to Your Doctor: Consult your physician to identify the cause of your anemia and get advice on restoring iron levels safely.
• Reschedule: Once your iron and hemoglobin levels are back in the healthy range, you can reschedule your donation.
