CORRECTION: Last night we posted that LAPD reported a bus on fire. The LAPD reported this in error and corrected that there was a fight, not a fire, on a bus.
Westwood: As 300 demonstrators protest with BLMLA in solidarity with Portland outside of the Wilshire Federal Building, roughly 20 right wing counter protestors have arrived and are trying to instigate a melee with the crowd.
Westwood: 🐷 have Border Tactical and armored vehicles stationed nearby the Wilshire Federal Building
Westwood: 300 demonstrators with the BLMLA Portland protest have begun marching at the Verdant and Wilshire intersection

Good evening Los Angeles! Tomorrow morning our city council is reconvening and they will be voting on an item to resume encampment sweeps. Here’s how you can tell them that’s a terrible idea.
Here are some events happening tomorrow and a map of the two cooling centers open in the city as the week heats up. Lastly is the list of the board of supervisors you can call to tell to open up more cooling centers. It’s hot and our millions of city residents deserve better than two locations.
