Lanterns of Tawheed
Once at a sisters Halaqah, a few years ago, the sister delivering the Halaqah mentioned the Ayah regarding men being Qawwam over women, and when explaining it, she mentioned that one of the reasons is because of what they spend of their wealth (as Allāh mentions…
I saw this being spread somewhere as being Naseeha from Shaykh Ahmad Jibril (حفظه الله). I'm not sure how that misunderstanding was caused, but seeing as it couldn't be corrected on that platform, it needs to be clarified here that it is not from the Shaykh, but rather taken from the Instagram (Al.Qawareer) and is simply a reflection from the admin.
In the belly of trials, let your greatest motivation for Sabr be the oath you took to cling to it when difficulties first swallowed you:
سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
“You will find me, if Allah wills, of the patient [ones]."
Prove yourself to Allāh.
At the start of affliction, raise your hands to Allāh and say “I swear by Your Might, O Rabb, You’re going to find me amongst the patient. I swear by Your Honor, no one will hear my complaints except You.” and watch how Allāh aids you and pours upon you patience.

The natural pains that women have as a result of the biological processes that Allah has decreed should take place within them, are blessings, not curses. It's become so common to come across posts, tweets, and even just regular conversation where sisters will be complaining constantly and wishing they didn't have to feel these pains, some saying that they hate being women because there's always seems to be some sort of unavoidable pain going on in every stage of life, and even going to the extreme of wishing the pain upon men and being discontent with Allah's decree of creating her as a woman.
Sisters should keep these Ahadith between their eyes:
A’ishah (رضي الله عنها), the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no calamity that befalls a Muslim but Allah expiates (sin) thereby, even a thorn that pricks him.” [Bukhari, Muslim]
A’ishah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ ) say: “There is nothing that befalls a believer, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah will record a hasanah (good deed) for him thereby, or erase from him a sin.” [Muslim]
Allah knows that every single Muslim and Muslimah is in dire need to have their sins forgiven, and sisters should be grateful that Allah has blessed them with such difficulties, as it gives them more opportunities to have their sins expiated. Our attitude, as Muslims, to every type of sickness and discomfort or inconvenience, should be that of gratitude and joy over the chance to have our sins forgiven, not that of discontentment and annoyance due to the temporary difficulty.
Just imagine, for example, how many sins a woman is cleared of during childbirth, SubhanAllah! There's no natural type of pain on the face of the Earth that comes near it, and Allah has blessed women to be able to bear it and reap rewards and lose sins from it. May Allah have mercy on our mothers and forgive them and raise their ranks to Firdaws.

I actually found a scholar, al Wansharīsī [¹] who died in 914 AH رحمة الله عليه he wrote a book: al-Mi’yār al Mu’rab where he considered an ijmā’ and that’s a big deal. An ijmā’, a consensus among scholars. He said:
أجمعت الأمة على وجوب الهجرة على المسلم من ديار الكفار إلى ديار الإسلام، ولم يستثن من ذلك إلا العاجزين عنها من الرجال والنساء والولدان
There’s an ijmā that a Muslim must leave the dār of kuffār, where the kuffār are the majority, to the dār of Islām. There’s no exception in that except those who are sick or the men and women and children who are unable.

This is a matter where the old scholars weren’t even talking about this issue. The old scholars in the first 400 or 500 years, didn’t even discuss this issue. When you read this, you got to analyse this from a scholarly perspective what you reading. You see that they were discussing if a non-Muslim converts while he is in the land of the kuffār that he needs to leave. That is where his mom, his dad, his family are, he needs to leave. It wasn’t worse than that which is Muslims leaving the lands of the Muslims and going to the lands of the kuffār or having the opportunity to go to the lands of the Muslims and refusing to do so.

GAURD THE KEY TO YOUR HEART
There is no doubt, that The eyes are the pathway to the heart (Your Emān). If you guard your eyes, you will taste the beauty of faith, and likewise if your eyes are loose, you will contribute to the numbness of your heart - until you see the Haram as simply Makruh, and the Sunnah as voluntary, Shirk as difference of opinion, and Tawheed as extremism or Ghulū.
This applies to guarding your eyes from lust, as well as the books of the people of Innovation and Zandaqa.
We seek refuge in Allah from relaxing in our belief and conviction, and ask Allah to make us and keep us firm upon the Millah of Ibrahim, and to die upon it with sincerity.

#NEW | MASĀJID DIRĀR | It's Forbidden to Pray in Them!
I ask Allah to make this video a proof for the believers, and a coolness for their eyes, and a thorn in the backs of those who try to dilute this perfect religion. I ask Allah to guide the sincere amongst the misguided, and infuriate the arrogant among them.…
If in your zeal for “female Islāmic scholarship”, you prop up and promote women who are openly Sufī, Ash’arī, and Maturīdī as being ‘Ālimahs and Shaykhas of the highest order who are to be respected and taken from, know that you’re zeal is not for the sake of Allāh, nor for the sake of giving sisters role models and guidance to follow, nor to encourage Akhāwat to seek knowledge, but rather your true intentions are to fulfill a certain feminist agenda or simply to fuel the Western race and competition between genders.
Had it truly been for the sake of Allāh, you wouldn’t have promoted women who are upon Bātil creeds, not even from Ahlus-Sunnah to begin with, to our sisters to misguide them. All you want is to show the world that we, too, have equal representation of genders in positions of authority, specifically religious authority. The single most precious thing is ‘Aqeedah and Tawheed. If you want our sisters to learn and take from women who can’t even get those two things right, and you want them to risk losing their ‘Aqeedah and diluting their Tawheed, just for the sake of promoting “fEMalE SchOLarSHiP”, you need to get your head out of the gutter of feminism and wake up and realize that you’re guiding them to potentially lose the foundation of religion for the sake of something that isn’t half as important as it.
Wallahi we have nothing against women scholars, in fact we’re in dire need of them and it would cool our hearts to see our sisters dedicating themselves to filling this void, BUT never at the expense of putting themselves in situations where they risk their Manhaj and ‘Aqeedah.
In the meantime, we’re content with having only male scholars, as long as they’re strictly upon the Manhaj of the Salaf. One male scholar like that is worth more than thousands of female “scholars” who are from the misguided sects. And one female scholar upon the correct ‘Aqeedah and firm in Tawheed is worth more than countless males “scholars” who are heads and promoters of misguidance.
Gender is not what’s most important here, this isn’t Kindergarten boys vs girls rivalry. It’s creed and steadfastness that matters.

The Week Before Ramadān
| Shaykh Ahmad Jibril (حفظه الله)
“The week before Ramadān is the most crucial week probably... the Shaytān is gonna be shackled... You know what he’s gonna do in this week? When someone’s going to jail and he’s bad, he’s gonna do all the worst things he can imagine, before he goes.”
— Shaykh AMJ
Before Ramadān comes, do your best to repent from all sins, clean your heart from all grudges towards Muslims, end all disputes and arguments with people, and cut off from everything that will distract you and take away from your focus and worship in the precious moments of Ramadān. Purify yourself and your surroundings now, so that you can enter Ramadān in a high and good state of īmān, and reap its rewards and blessings more than ever, in shā Allāh.

Q. Is ruling by the previous noscriptures (Tawrah, Injīl) permissible to do?
Please explain the incident of when the Jews came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and he used the Tawrah to judge between them regarding a particular situation.
A. Shaykh Ahmad Jibrīl (حفظه الله) said:
Wa ‘alaykum asalām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
As to the question pertaining to ruling by other books, the story of the Jews who came to ask the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) pertaining to the ruling on zinā, that of course is in the Sihāh, but there’s additional 10 verses in the Qur’ān that were revealed pertaining to that story and they start of in Sūrat al-Mā’idah,
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ
“O Messenger! Do not grieve for those who race to disbelieve...” [5:41]
And approximately nine verses if I’m not mistaken after that (Āyāt 41-50). Those verses are clear, nearly every other statement is clear in inferring or directly showing that the ruling was by the rule of the Qur’ān and the ‘Ulamā’ cleared the meaning of those verses. Our Salaf cleared that.
Ash-Shāfi’ī in “al-Umm” said,
فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ
“So if they come to you, [O Muhammad], judge between them or turn away from them.” [5:42]
That portion of the verse is disputed among the ‘Ulamā’ whether it’s abrogated or not in its meaning but he said, and if the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) chooses to rule over them, he will rule over them by the قسط as Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) said. And he said that is the rule of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) revealed to the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and he said it’s not permissible to rule except by the rule of Allāh to the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
What rule is the rule of Allah to the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم)?
It’s the rule of the Qur’ān. In fact in “Tafsīr ‘Abdur-Razzāq”, he mentioned that ‘Umar Ibn ‘Abdul-Azīz sent to his governor, he said that if the people of the Book come to you, you rule over them by what’s in the book of Allāh, meaning the Qur’ān.
At-Tabarī, when he mentions,
فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ
“So judge between them by what Allah has revealed.” [5:48]
He said it is the rule of Allāh in His book. Which Book? The Qur’ān.
At-Tahāwī said that those verses pertaining to that story that I mentioned in Sūrat al-Mā’idah, Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) ordered His Messenger to rule over them by what’s in our Book and al-Baghawī made it clear, he said some people allege that the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ruled over them by what’s in the Tawrah and that is wrong, al-Baghawī said that is wrong.
He said:
وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ
“And judge between them (O Prophet) by what Allah has revealed.” [5:49]
It’s not permissible to think that the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ruled by a book that’s been abrogated which is the Tawrah and left his book which is that book that Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) revealed to him which is the Qur’ān.
But he referred to the Tawrah when he told them bring the Tawrah, “Istighāram”, “Istighāram” means as proof against them because they lied. He wanted to show them that they’re lying and what’s in their books.
And al-Jasās, al-Mawardī, al-Baghawī, Wafā’ Ibn ‘Aqīl, Abu-l Hasan ash-Shāfi’ī, al-Wāhidī, among others clearly said similar statements.
Al-Qurtubī said it’s Ijmā’ among the ‘Ulamā’ that you can’t rule among them, except by what’s in the Qur’ān.
Al-Mawardī al-Basrī said he (the Prophet) ordered them to bring the Tawrah because they denied it was in there, to show them that they were liars and not to rule by what’s in it, because he had already ruled before they even brought the Tawrah.
So if he was going to rule by the Tawrah, he was going to wait until they bought the Tawrah and then he would have ruled. But he had already ruled, meaning he didn’t rule by the Tawrah. He was just trying to show them that their liars in that which is in their Book.
Inshā’Allāh, that clears the issue, if not let me know.
JazākumAllāhu khayr.
Was-salāmu ‘alaykum warahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu.
