THE TAZKIYYAH OF IBN BĀZ

It’s ironic that you have the fringe Madākhilah squel like pigs, and rush to reference their classic “pictures with red lines at the eyes” as some sort of Hujjah for their accusations, apart from reminding us all of a mentally unhinged 12-year old when they talk, it’s interesting how they so casually deflect Ibn Bāz’s Tazkiyyah (which is unique and unmatched in its level of Tazkiyyah of Shaykh Musa and Shaykh Ahmad). Unbeknownst to them that this Tazkiyyah came after a period in which Shaykh Musa and Shaykh Ahmad حفظهم الله had spoken out against Ibn Bāz’s disastrous Fatwa.

So much so, that Shaykh Musa حفظه الله (who is a Lion of Tawheed himself) said about Ibn Bāz, after his disastrous Fatwa during the Gulf War: “اعمى البصر والبصيرة (Blind in his eyesight and foresight).” This Tazkiyyah came AFTER the Shaykhs spoke out against the Fatwa.

So, when you have your neighborhood Madkhali Zindīq, who can’t tell the difference between a Muslim and a Taghut, try and “warn you” of the Khawārij, remember the statement of Ibn Taymiyyah regarding the people of truth being oft accused as being Khawārij.

May Allah bless and preserve the revivers of Tawheed and Walā and Barā’ in the West, and true Imams of our time: Al-Shaykh Musa Abdullah Jibril and his honorable son, Al-Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril, حفظهم الله.

“For one to have a good marriage, the wife should have the follow­ing characteristics:

The first and most important trait is religiousness (din), for the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Choose the one who is religious.” An irreligious wife will ruin her spouse’s religiousness, and trouble his heart with jealous feelings, so that his life will be in turmoil.

“Just as a man should take a look at the woman (for marriage), the woman’s guardian should find out about the man’s religiousness, character, and situation. This is because the woman becomes tied to her spouse like a slave does, so if the guardian marries her off to a sinner or an innovator, he has violated both her and himself.

The point the Shaykh (حفظه الله) makes here regarding knowledge, is very much applicable to Da’wah as well.

It’s upon us to be wary of using Da’wah to bring personal Dunyawi benefits and gains to ourselves. The Deen of Allāh and calling to it should be for far greater motives then what we see many intending to achieve therewith.

Make your Da’wah a tool through which you seek The Majestic Face of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى, not a tool for seeking fame, recognition, money, or women. It’s easy to have your name recognized all over the Earth, but to have a name that’s recognized in the heavens? That’s a real accomplishment.

May Allāh protect us from corrupt intentions and rectify our hearts.

Shaykh Ahmad Jibril (حفظه الله تعالى) is like an arrow. The more they attempt to draw him back, the further Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) casts him forward.

May Allāh keep him steadfast

One of the Sahābah رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين when his donkey used to disobey him, he used to say: "Wallāhī this is from my own sin". The same applies to us. When your car doesn't start in the morning, when you have a problem in the morning, when you have a problem with your wife, with your child, with your professor and school, you ask yourself: "what did I do?" Allāh Does not Oppress! We are the ones who oppress ourselves, but Allāh Gave us in this great Religion a way out.

Who doesn't make a mistake? It's normal to make a mistake. But the problem is persistent on the mistake. Knowing that you are wrong, and persistent on it; not repenting to Allāh. If Allāh Wanted us not to make a mistake, He Wouldn't have sent humans. He already Has Angels. If Allāh Wanted us to be devils – as most of us are – He Would have made of us devils. We are in the middle, we make mistakes, but we have a way out. That way is repentance to Allāh!

We don't ask Allah for trials, but once they're over, one can't help but miss the sweetness of 'Ibadah that was tasted in their duration. The best reward of being afflicted with difficulty is the unwavering Tawakkul that one develops through it and the Du'aas that escape from the depths of your soul in the dark abyss of the night.

When the dark waves of trials come crashing down on you, don't struggle against them and fight to reach the surface. Accept the decree of your Lord. Dive deeper and find the pearl of contentment and Yaqeen. The waves haven't been sent to destroy you, but rather to force you to dive deeper and find a valuable treasure worth more than the world and everything it contains.

No one should get lazy in learning these Masā'il. They're very essential to every single Muslim... shortcomings in purifying oneself from Najāsah is not to be taken lightly. It's sufficient to know the horrific consequences of shortcomings in these details. It may be a cause for one's punishment in the grave. May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى protect us from that...

Holding these matters in high regard, learning them in detail, all that changes one's thought process towards Salāh and 'Ibādah, and that helps attain Kushū'. Anything essential in your life, you prepare for it beforehand, and one of the ways to prepare for the meeting with Al-Jabbār, Mālik Al-Mulook, is by proper Tahārah before Salāh."
