DON’T GREET ‘EID WITH SINS | #OldPost
The worst way to greet ‘Eid is by sinning. You spent an entire month repenting to Allāh for the evil you've committed and the sins you've done, don't think that Allāh stops Watching you once Eid begins.
Two common sins that are committed on ‘Eid are Tabarruj and free-mixing between the genders.
Don't go out on ‘Eid with your faces/hands uncovered, your body scented in perfumes, with high heels, and adorned clothing. Your henna is and adornment, and your hands are already supposed to be covered, but when you adorn them and show them it’s sin on top of sin. Your makeup is an adornment, and although your face should already be covered, displaying it and adorning it double the sin. Your eyes should also remain as they are, with no Kohl, eye shadow, or mascara.
“And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment.” [An-Noor]
If Allāh does not want you to let men know what jewelry and adornments you have concealed, imagine the sin if you didn't even conceal it, but instead wore it openly and proudly.
Don't post selfies for every man to see, have some shyness.
"And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance..." [Al-Ahzāb]
Don't make a wanton display of yourself, and if you do so, you should know that Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ have cursed the women who do Tabarruj.
In Saheeh Muslim and elsewhere it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen: men with whips like the tails of cattle with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed but naked, walking with an enticing gait, with something like the humps of camels on their heads. They will not enter Paradise nor even smell its fragrance, and its fragrance can be smelled from such and such a distance.” and in some narrations it comes "curse them, for they are cursed".
Al-Mawdoodi said, “The word ‘Tabarruj’, when used in relation to a woman, has three meanings:
1 - When she exposes the beauty of her face and body before non-Mahram men.
2 - When she exposes the beauty of her clothes and jewelry before them.
3 - When she exposes herself before them through the way she walks, and moves.”
‘Abdullāh Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said, “Women are but an ‘Awrah (something private to be covered). A woman might leave her house without there being any problem with her, but the Shaytān seeks her out and says [to her], ‘You will not pass by anyone except that you will impress/please him.’ A woman puts on her clothes and is asked where she is going, to which she replies, ‘To visit a sick person,’ or ‘to attend a funeral’, or ‘to pray in the Masjid’; but a woman never worships Allāh in the way she does when she worships Him in her house. [At-Tabarāni]
Sisters must also remember to lower their gazes from the brothers, it is better for their hearts and to keep their minds pure of filth.
As for free-mixing, then the sisters should remember that your male cousins are not your mahrams, your brother in laws are not your mahrams, your distantly related male "uncles" are not your mahrams, and your male childhood family friends are not your mahrams. For these men, you cannot sit in the same room, chat with them, have a good time together, eat at the same table, or display yourself and your adornments to them. Same for the brothers, they cannot free mix with the females mentioned in the categories above. Family/friend visits should be strictly segregated.

Shaykh Nāsir Al-Fahd فك الله أسره said, "Allah The Almighty Commanded women to let down their Jilbābs over themselves, to cover their faces, and to not display their adornment to non-mahram men, and he ordered them to stick to their homes, and he forbid for them the Tabarruj of Jāhiliyyah and he forbid them from being alone with men or to mix with them, or to travel without a Mahram, and other than that from what is well known publicly and privately, and all this is to protect women and men from Fitnah and to protect society from downfall."

THE WOMEN OF TABARRUJ
It’s Harām for these women to leave their homes, even for Eid Salāh (which some ‘Ulamā considered Fard)!
• These women who leave their homes with anything besides their eyes uncovered (revealing their faces and hands)!
• These women who leave their homes with wide openings in their Niqāb — revealing their eyebrows, the tops of their cheeks, the sides of their face and too much of their eye socket.
(The eye slit in the Niqāb must be narrow and can only show one or two eyes)
• These women who leave their homes with makeup on their faces!
(even if they have Niqāb on - eye makeup is still Harām)
• These women who leave their homes with colorful, bright Jilbābs and adorned, patterned clothing!
• These women who leave their homes with their heads tilted with camel humps (hair wrapped in buns) raised underneath their head covers!
Clearly forbidden in the Hadīth and even if the bun is small or near the neck, it still shows other men how much hair they have!
• These women who leave their homes displaying their rings, bracelets and other jewelry/adornments, catching the eye of every man!
• These women who leave their homes like adulteresses, with the smell of perfume coming from them!
• These women who leave their homes swaying in high heels, tilting their bodies forward, changing the way they walk, and making a sound as they walk past men!
• These women who leave their homes with tight and fitted clothing, dressed but still naked!
• These women who leave their homes wearing Jilbābs or abayahs made of thin or stretchy cloth (like jersey), showing the shape and size of their every limb, dressed but still naked!
• These women who leave their homes wearing see-through clothing, dressed but still naked!
• These women who leave their homes unnecessarily and appear in front of non-mahram men unnecessarily, mixing with them to make a display of themselves (even if they have Niqāb on).
O Sisters, Fear Allāh!
It is Harām for you to leave your home or appear before any non-mahram man in this type of manner and dress.
The sins you’re earning by dressing like this are not small and cannot be taken lightly.
This sin of Tabarruj could be the sin that drags you to Hell!
“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies”
[33:59]
“And stay in your houses, and do not Tabarruj yourselves like the Tabarruj of the times of ignorance”
[33:33]
“And tell the believing women ...not to show off their adornment”
[24:31]
“And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment.
And all of you beg Allāh to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful”

Birds of a Feather, Flock Together
and it is because of this that many are destined to fly alone forever…
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying,
“Souls are troops collected together and those who familiarized with each other (in the heaven from where these come) would have affinity with one another (in the world), and those amongst them who opposed each other (in the Heaven) would also be divergent (in the world).” [Muslim]
Al-Khattābi رحمه الله said: This may be understood as referring to similarlity between souls which are either good or bad, righteous or immoral, and that good people are attracted to those who are like them and evil people are likewise attracted to those who are like them, so people’s souls recognize one another according to their nature, whether good or evil; if they are similar they will get along and if they are different they will not get along.
Al-Qurtubi رحمه الله said: Although souls have in common the fact that they are all souls, they differ in other ways. Souls of similar nature will get along because of their nature. Therefore we see people of a certain type get along, but they do not get along with people of a different nature, and we see that with people who are of a similar nature, some of them get along with one another and some do not, and that depends on the issues which form the basis of getting along or otherwise.
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say,
“People are like a hundred camels, among which you can hardly find one that is fit for riding.” [Bukhāri & Muslim]

Deviants wish they had 'Ulamā' like ours, WAllāh!
While their scholars sit at the feet of the rulers & kiss up to the Kuffār in humiliation, ours remind the world of the 'Ulamā' of the Salaf — living consistently under unbearable scrutiny, restrictions, and conditions from the enemies of Allah تعالى, yet that doesn't stop them from defending the weak of the Ummah and amplifying their voices, despite it only causing their own personal problems to intensify.
That's 'Izzah. That's a scholar. That's an example of someone who has Ghayrah for the Ummah. That's someone who understood what such a lofty noscript demands from him.
We say with pride, that's our Shaykh.
The Imām of the West, let no one have any doubt about it.
May Allah تعالى Accept from him, Increase him in steadfastness, Lengthen his life, and Blind his enemies!

Ruling on Hunger Strikes For Prisoners
(In Response to a question)
By: Ahmad Musa Jibril (6-9-2012)
Many of our oppressed imprisoned brothers resort to hunger strikes when the world, including their Muslim brothers, turn their backs on them.
The question becomes whether or not this is allowed Islamically. The simple answer to this matter is that refusing to eat and/or drink until one dies or severely harms himself is not permissible and if he dies, then he falls under the same ruling as one who kills himself by jumping from a high rise or slicing his wrists…etc.
Islam came to honor and protect life as Allah سبحانه وتعالى warned about this in the Koran:
“And do not kill yourselves. Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you. And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire.” (Sura An-Nisa, 29-30)
AlQurtuby said that there is consensus among scholars that this verse applies to not killing each other and its meaning applies to one who kills himself.
In both Bukhari and Muslim, Abu Hurierah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever). And he who takes poison to kill himself shall have poison in his hand to swallow in hell-fire. And he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire.”
There are numerous verses, hadeeths and sayings of scholars to leave no doubt that committing suicide is prohibited. However, sometimes the hunger strikes taken by our brothers are not meant by the person to reach the point of death but rather to raise awakening and awareness to one’s cause or remove hardships one faces or retrieve rights taken away. That person does not mean to reach to the point of harming himself, let alone death. That matter returns upon oneself if he so thinks it will benefit his situation. If the hunger strike falls short of harming oneself then it falls under the mubah/permissible in Islam.
In Siyer A3lam AlNubala, (Aldahaby) narrated that Imam Ahmad رحمه الله remained eight days and nights not eating when he was imprisoned. We do not know why he did that but he did not, however, let it last long enough for serious injury or death to happen. It could have been to better his prison condition.
I know of brothers who went on hunger strikes in prisons and they were hiding food but letting the staff think they were not eating to remove torturous conditions we endured at the hands of the Americans.
To be practical, hunger strikes in USA prisons rarely work because Americans have mastered the art of torture for decades or rather centuries. They know from their experience in torture how to react in such conditions by letting a person remain in his status until he gets near death. Then they restrain him with belts and force feed him by nasal gastric feeding tubes, mostly done by correctional officers or non medical staff which at times causes death. Muslims in USA, along with their leaders overall–with some rare exceptions, are cowards who do not stand up for their brothers’ conditions, let alone their causes in USA prisons–contrary to many Muslims in other parts of the world–which only makes the matter worse.

The matter is slightly different in Palestine and other parts of the world where Muslims react to their brothers’ conditions and it tends to raise awareness and at times, prison staff or authorities tend to reason and compromise with the inmates. Even so, if the hunger strike continues by any Muslim and reaches a point where it harms one severely or causes death, then it is haram, regardless of the benefit.
A Muslim who undergoes a trial by Allah should be patient and accept the destiny Allah chose for him remembering that it is the path of the righteous messengers of Allah and those who follow them. In those trials, Allah will forgive the sins and raise the ranks inshallah and it’s a time for one to reflect and to ask Allah that HE take away his hard ship and release him from the hands of Kuffar and oppressors as Allah is the only one who answers the call of the distressed and oppressed.
May Allah subhanu watala hasten the release of the oppressed and destroy and annihilate the oppressors…
