Character Assassination in Dawah

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was accused of being a man of fitnah who divided families by separating sons from their fathers and wives from their husbands. He was accused of being one who performs black magic, of being a mentally ill person, a liar and a man who is after wealth and prestige. Likewise, his wife was also accused of committing adultery (Allah forbid).

One must observe that the Quraysh neither accused the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) of attempting to spread Islam, nor did they accuse him of trying to bring justice or even give the weak their rights. Instead, they accused him of actions by which they believed people would deem atrocious and evil.

Even though the accusations against him were the very same actions he preached against, they continued to harass him with character assassinations as soon as they became aware that people began following his message and were becoming Muslims.

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), who is considered the best man to walk the face of earth, and the best man after the messengers, Abu Bakr, became wanted fugitives with a 200 camel bounty reward for them (equivalent to millions of dollars today). Their shelter was a mere cave!!

Those who made these accusations toward him are the true enemies of Allah (عز و جل), and they still exist today.

Reflect upon the history of all famous reputable scholars of the past and present, whose names we echo daily such as the four Imams, those before them and those after them like Imam Bukhari and Ibn Taymiyyah. They were all tortured, imprisoned and accused with falsity. Allah (عز وجل) made out of them legends whose names will be heard and supplicated for until the Day of Judgment because they endured their trials with patience and steadfastness to the truth.

It is the sunnah of Allah (عز وجل) that those He honored with carrying His message to humanity were and will be the most tested. They are the ones who flee the most from being suspicious, from indulging in doubtful matters, and prevent making accusations. However, since time immemorial they are the ones most accused and suspected.

At the age of 80 Imam Ahmad lowered his daily rakaat from 300 to 150! We find it burdensome to do 12 a day to get a palace in Jannah.

Today many cannot even fathom the worship of the Salaf due to idleness & sins that eradicated the blessings from the lives.

Mujahid (رحمه الله) said:

"No people ever sat in a meeting and left before remembering Allah, without a putrid, rotting smell; and their meeting will bear witness to their heedlessness. Likewise no people ever sat in a meeting and remembered Allah before they left, without leaving perfumed in fragrance, sweeter than the smell of musk; and their meeting will bear witness to their mindfulness."

Sometimes what may appear to be the success of the da'wah of a certain Shaykh, of course, it's from Allah سبحانه وتعالى, but after that, the students play a big role as a means, and sometimes that's where the failure comes as well.

Don’t be a coward, stand up for your beliefs

“It is indeed ironic that at times we see those who do not believe in the Hereafter hold more heroic stands to what they believed in to the point where it became part of them like their flesh and blood, while those who claim for themselves a garden of heaven bigger than the sky and the earth cower and tremble away.

One must have resolve to what one believes in even if the pain and suffering reach their peak. One must have commitment to his belief even if those around him depart and abandon him. This is how one succeeds in the test, a similar test that Allāh (عز وجل) sent upon His messengers.”

In trials, remember the verse that gives hope of a better tomorrow:

{You do not know, it may be that Allah will afterward bring a new situation.} 65:1

"A believer, when young and strong, should prepare himself for death by adhering to piety and preforming good deeds, as Allah says:

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

"O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Aware of what you do."

"And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient." [Al Hashr:18-19]

When a worshipper remembers Allah in times of prosperity and youth and prepares himself to encounter Him after death, Allah will support him in times of distress, care for him, embed in his heart to die adhering to monotheism, and take his soul while He is content with His worshipper. If a person forgets Allah in times of prosperity and youth, and does not prepare himself for death, Allah will abandon him in times of distress and leave him alone."

Do not harm a Muslim in any form! Not by speech nor by action

You make du’ā and he [the oppressor] is going to think: oh, you make du’ā, what is Allāh going to do? No! Allāh is going to do a lot!

The arrows of the nighttime, which is the du’ā, have a destiny. And they are going to reach their destiny. They are going to reach Allāh and Allāh is going to answer. The du’ā of the oppressed days between the skies until Allāh is answering. Allāh Tells that du’ā:

لأنصرنك ولو بعد حين
I am going to Give you victory. Maybe not short right now, but sooner or later.

It is the du’ā that gave victory to the oppressed.

Call upon me. I WILL respond to you.

"It's only a Sunnah bro!"

The Sahabah and Tābi'een eagerly did a Sunnah because it was a Sunnah!

Today we leave it because it's a #Sunnah!

The mothers today face so much opposition when it comes to raising their children upon the correct creed and manhaj. Whether she be a sister in The West, or a sister imprisoned in the camps in the East, she faces an onslaught of effort from the enemies of Allah to pull her children off the path and to corrupt their Fitrah. The devils amongst mankind seek to take her children from her, to kill their fathers or imprison them, and to force them to be educated and indoctrinated with their Kufri curriculums. It's a never ending struggle for our beloved sisters that isn't recognized by most.

What do you know about what our sisters upon Haqq experience all over the world when it comes to doing Tarbiyah for their children? Do you not know that her children are like her limbs, or they are the strings of her heart? To be surrounded by those who want nothing but the worse for her children in the hereafter is a pain beyond denoscription. Wallahil 'Adheem, a mother with Taqwa would rather see her children being thrown into a fire one by one than to see them turn back on their heels from the creed she raised them upon and become tools of destruction against this Ummah.

For her steadfastness in Tarbiyah upon correct beliefs, she gets called names. She receives labels. She has people and governments trying to snatch her children from her. She has others who try to turn her children against her through their whispers. Her children are made into orphans while their father is alive (behind bars). She has family abandon her. All this, and she has no escape and no helper except Allah, and Allah is indeed sufficient for her.

To the sister who's striving to raise her children according to the Qur'an and Sunnah and facing opposition from every angle for it:

Allah has prepared, for you, a reward beyond imagination. You are a soldier, you are a warrior. You are the backbone of this Ummah, you keep it standing straight. The Sun of Islam will rise once again through your efforts and by your Tarbiyah. You are the mother of the soldiers of the Mahdi. You are the force behind every bullet and the strength behind the clash of every sword. You are the face of resilience and the embodiment of strength.

Don't fear the blame of the blamers, don't cave in to their criticism. Continue walking forward, guiding your children with the lamp of Islam upon a path that is surrounded by darknesses. Ignore the forces lurking in the dark, coaxing you to walk off the path, and to turn off the lamp. You refuse to leave your children to fumble in the darknesses of misguidance, and for this you will face the wrath of those who have never seen The Light, pulling at you from every angle. Seek refuge in Allah from their plots, may Allah distance you from them!

Continue to have patience. Continue with strength. May Allah aid you and allow you to see the fruits of your labor and toil in this world and the hereafter.

What is stopping you from praying Tahajjud?
To bask in the glory of your Lord,
Praying in a dark seclusion,
anticipating a vast reward.

Bowing in the dead of the night,
in a darkness most would find frightening.
A body with a heart illuminated by light,
and Iman stronger than lightning.

To beseech for whatever your heart could desire,
To shed tears of fear and love,
Seeking refuge from the horrendous fire,
Receiving mercy from above.

The Magnificent Lord descends,
So the righteous are awake,
The sinners remain asleep,
and the pious hearts ache,

In a yearning for Jannah,
and to be saved from The Fire,
for Paradise as an eternal abode,
to receive their heart's desire.

A prayer done in the dark of the night,
A prayer all alone,
In hopes that our graves may radiate light,
and we be shaded beneath The Throne.

What is stopping you from praying Tahajjud?
