🔸 They wish to extinguish the light of Allah, but Allah will perfect His Light, though the disbelievers detest it. 🔸

Hasan al-Basri (رحمه الله) said:

"You will not find a believer except that he is (constantly) holding his soul to account,

What did I intend with that word of mine?

What did I intend with my food?

What did I intend with my drink?"

The Trials of the Believers

The tests come one after another, until a servant leaves this earth with not a single sin. Allāh wants to purify you and He wants to refine you. He wants you to meet him pure so you can be close to the 'Arsh. Refining and burning gold makes it pure (it takes the pure gold out & it purifies it), but pure gold doesn’t come out easy. It comes out on 1000 degrees Celsius or more, so it needs purification. Allāh is refining you and Allāh is purifying you.

Every problem that happens to us, no matter how small or big, is because of our sins and a sign that we need to head to repentance.

Mas'alah: Who decides what level of illness permits one to do Tayyamum?

May Allah reward the students who uploaded this video, and all others who spread the Shaykh's content. May Allah make it a means of beneficial knowledge and Sadaqah Jāriyah for our dear Shaykh (حفظه الله تعالى) and all who contribute, Āmīn.
"And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving idols (shirk)." [Ibrahim 14:35]

In this ayah who were his sons he is worried over? His sons Ishaq and Isma'il, who were messengers of Allah. They were messengers yet he feared shirk over them. This is how heavy we should take shirk to be, as generation after generation of messengers came from prophet Ibrahim (ie Ishaq, Yaqoob, Yusuf) yet he feared shirk over them.

Ibrahim Taimy said, "Who can be secured of shirk after this verse!?!"

— Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril (حفظه الله)
It Is A Lonely Path...

"Being that the seeker of the straight path (Siraat Al Mustaqeem) seeks what most men avoid, companions on his path are all too rare. Being disposed against loneliness and to intimacy and friendship, he is reminded by Allah the Exalted of companions on this path: “whom Allah has blessed from among the prophets, the Siddiqeen, the martyrs, and the righteous, and how wonderful are such companions!” [4:69]. He has attributed the the path to the companions who tread it, the ones whom Allah has blessed [1:6], so the seeker’s anguish of being alone among the people of his time and his kind may be allayed, and so he may know that his company on this path comprises the blessed ones, and not care about the opposition of those who divert from the path, for, though in majority, they are of little worth.

As one of the Predecessors said, “Follow the path of truth, let the scarcity of its travelers not make you feel lonely, and avoid the path of falsehood, and not let the abundance of the ruined deceive you.” If you ever feel lonely, look at those who have passed of old and yearn to join them, and turn your eyes away from those other than them, for the [unworthy many] will be of no avail to you against Allah. If they call out to you in your journey on the path, turn not to them, for if you do they will take you away and deprive you."

WESTERN ISLAM

The ideology of the secularists is not Islam, but they will put a touch, smell or scent of Islam in their Kufr founded ideology as an appearance, so that people will accept them or for other purposes and so they will not be rejected.

That is a Western Islam and that is a religion in itself. We embrace and submit to the pure unadulterated Islam (Millat Ibraheema Haneefa).

Others choose a different brand of Islam which is called the Western Islam, but then you will see they will put a touch or smell of our Islam in it to fool the bird-brained. That will only fool people who are not well-founded, rooted and established on Tawheed.

My life is solely for the sake of your pleasure,
And you know, my beloved Lord, that it's for your sake.

O Lord, for you!
O Lord! Just for you!

I desire neither wealth nor life,
I only desire the love of my Lord.

O love of this world, move out of my way!
I desire Jannah.

I've become a stranger to the entire world,
For your sake.

O Lord, for you!
O Lord! Just for you!

DEFEND THE CAUSE, NOT YOUR PERSON!

Every word you say in Da’wah 'Why did I say this? Why did I type this status? Why did I send that tweet?'

Every time.

Sometimes you are on social media, you are giving Da’wah and you get slandered or you get dragged into an argument or a debate.

If you merely fear that your reply is in retaliation for your own person and not for the cause that you were giving Da’wah in, then back away and do not send it. Complete silence for Allah is better than responding and quarreling that ends up being half for Allah and half for personal gain. Do not worry about your person. Defend the cause, not your person.

“The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful." [al-Baqarah 2:185]

Ramadan is two months away, Insha'Allah and to prepare ourselves for this blessed month we should all watch the Gems of Ramadan series by Shaykh Ahmad Jibril (حفظه الله)

WAllahi these series are so beneficial and make our Ibadah during this month more beautiful and enjoyable.

Tested for What He Preached

Forwarded from Haqq Hurts Hypocrites
You will get tested regarding everything you learn and preach

It’s not a mere coincidence that every time you learn a matter of the Deen, post something regarding it, or preach about it - you are immediately tested regarding it. For sure, Allāh is testing you, to see if you are among the truthful or among the liars. To see if you were just the typical copy-paster/hypocritical speaker, or a man of action, truthful to the Haqq he preached.

It usually goes something like this:

You post about speaking the Haqq and not being afraid of harm in this path, and suddenly you get an email or a knock on the door, letting you know you’re now being “watched”. Will you continue speaking the Haqq regardless, or will you turn back on your heels in cowardice?!

You learn about being patient during trials and being pleased with Allāh’s decree, and suddenly you’re hit by a calamity. Will you wipe the tears and whisper Alhamdulillah, or will you turn around in despair and complain to the people about your suffering?!

You speak about the importance of advising people and suddenly you get advised and corrected. Will you humble yourself (by accepting it) and thank the person, or will you turn away in arrogance, rejecting it and criticizing them?!

The point is, everything we learn/preach/post about the Deen, we will definitely be tested on it. If you fail the test, life will go on and you probably won’t even notice it, but it will come back to haunt you in the hereafter. What’s sad is that majority of people are careless, and don’t even realize when this happens and they fail the test too.

As for those who were fearful of their Lord, they remember everything they said in the past. And when the time comes to be tested, they strive to apply everything with the utmost sincerity & perfection, and with the help of Allāh they succeed. Thus winning the love of the One for whose sake they did all this for.

The tests & trials will feel like mere memories after they pass, but your reaction to it (specifically in the first moments) will have everlasting effects in the hereafter. Effects which you will either rejoice over or regret over.

So remember, it’s very easy to learn, memorize, preach, and post. But when the test comes, that’s when the true colors are shown and the real men rush forward to prove themselves, while the cowards shrink away into the shadows.

Act upon everything you preach, and constantly check yourself to make sure you’re not turning into a hypocrite and a liar. The Haqq is meant to flow off the tongues and be applied in every little corner of your life. Don’t constrict it to just your finger tips and tongue.

Every time we’re about to click the post/tweet button or stand up to preach to the people, we should have sweat rolling down our forehead. Fearing for our sincerity and being tested on it, and praying to not disappoint the One who we claimed to be doing all this for.

May Allāh make us from amongst the Siddiqīn, truthful to our Lord and seeking His face in every single thing we do and say and type. Āmīn Ya Rabb!

#TalkTheTalkWalkTheWalk
Ameen Ya Rabb! Allahumma Barik, what a beneficial and heart striking post, may Allah make us steadfast. Ya Allah, if you see any minuscule good in our hearts, forgive us of our shortcomings and fulfill our wish — that these endeavors shall forever only be for your honorable Face and that our intentions not be corrupted. Dear Lord, allow not for us to slip into contradiction of our preaching and create enemies for ourselves on the Day of Resurrection.

We fail them time and time again, and there will be a time when we won't be able to make amends for our failure and wrongdoings. May Allah allow us to rectify ourselves before we lose such precious doors to paradise and such easy means to His pleasure.

“And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.” [17:23]

means, do not let them hear anything offensive from you, not even say "Uff!" which is the mildest word of disrespect,

وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا

(and do not reprimand them) means, do not do anything horrible to them.

وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا

(and do not reprimand them) 'Ata' bin Rabah said that it meant, "Do not raise your hand against them." When Allah forbids speaking and behaving in an obnoxious manner, He commands speaking and behaving in a good manner, so He says:

وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا

(but address them in terms of honor.) meaning gently, kindly, politely, and with respect and appreciation.

وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ

(And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy,) means, be humble towards them in your actions.

وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

(and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.") means, say this when they grow old and when they die.

أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ

“Give thanks to Me and to your parents. Unto Me is the final destination.” [31:14]
