His alter self is lying on the back, and it's very heavy. He is carrying his dreams, ambitions, goals, memories, responsibilities, expectations, traumas, and fantasies. This fragile cargo with a very short shelf life must be unloaded asap.
He has to go through the jammed pavement. Along the way he knew he probably will break traffic laws, might get a hefty penalty, and could even potentially crash the car.
