New IDF intelligence report accused Hezbullah of the intention to start a "few day battle" against the IDF for the first time since 2006.

Is the IDF creating the pretext for a pre-emptive strike on Lebanon?

It's important to note that Hezbullah has nothing called "few day battle" as Nasrallah said last year. This expression of a conflict, once created by IDF CoS Kochavi, will be treated as a normal war. Nothing short of it, stressed Nasrallah.

In other words: IDF is attempting to deter Hezbullah from retaliating for its fallen soldier who was killed by IDF last year.
