The mosque loudspeakers in the village of Qusra called on the citizens of the village to confront the ongoing pogroms against the village by the Zionist settlers.

In these days, 2 May - 4 May 1988, 2000 Israel occupation forces (IDF) attacked the small village of Maydon in Beqaa to invade it and retaliate after Hezbullah successfully neutralized Lieutenant Colonel Shmuel Adiv, a battalion commander in the Givati Brigade.

In this battle, 30 Hezbullah fighters fought against 2000 Israeli soldier.

30 fighter stood and defended western Beqaa against the undefeatable Israeli forces who occupied and defeated the largest Arab armies.

30 fighters aided by no other than God's angels.

The battle lasted 3 days and IDF destroyed all 50 houses of the village, and the fighters fought till the last drop of blood, sacrificing their own life to protect Maydon and Beqaa.

18 Hezbullah fighters rose in those days to the heavens and one fighter was captured by the IDF – he was released in 2004.
