Covering Lebanon and occasionally MENA's conflicts. And currently, the war in Palestine.

HAMAS tried to create a new deterrence, connecting Gaza to Jerusalem, forcing the occupation into certain consensus on those areas. How successful? This will be judged in the months and years to come.

The conflict showed how Jerusalemites are close to Hamas and are open about it. A milestone overcome thanks to the 1948-occupied Palestinians. Such unity with Gaza for the first time, and the will to riot and lynch Israeli soldiers, is the most important development in decades.
IDF's response to Gaza focused on two things:

1- Critically wounding Hamas and allies,

2- Enhancing old deterrence and displaying firepower to instil fear in other adverseries (e.g Hezbullah).

It was a display of IDF's new doctrine of "few days battle".
IDF is an aggressor force who has no right to self-defense. It failed in its strategy of ending a threat, due to its fear of casualties if it invaded Gaza. They only bought time. Time that Hamas will use to rebuild and prepare.
Gaza never had the power nor will it have the power to cause an existential threat to Israel. Gaza is like a knife that cuts.

Gaza's far superior rule will be in the big war when it will be the knife that will stab from the back when the concentration of power is looking north.
In addition to that, there are a few points to remember (I might expand on them later)

1- The geography of Gaza is very bad for defense and offensive. It's sand. No mountains, no valleys, no forests. That, and the huge civilian concentration, makes it hard to operate from.
2- The Iron Dome was very successful. It proved its worth yet again, but it is far from tested against a better adversary, with much bigger firepower and military-grade rockets that are faster.

IDF used 6 Iron Dome batteries facing Gaza (6 × 4 launchers × 20 interceptors = 480 interceptors). With its theoretical rate (90%), it can stop all rockets from Gaza.

With a rate of just 50%, the 6 batteries can stop 240 rockets (1 interceptor / rocket). The biggest barrage from Gaza was 130 rockets... it was not even equal to IDF defense.
Zionists are evil who keep secrets, but hiding casualties is something they don't do.

Neither them nor the US military. We need to get over this unfounded rhetoric.
Ongoing IDF aggression on Gaza after a relatively calm night.

35 and counting bombs were dropped on northern Gaza and several residnetial building such as "Al Safina"
Several Gazans have reported hearing rockets falling but not hearing explosions.
Initial alleged targets:

- Al Karama area
- Al Rayes Mountain
- Beit Lahia
- Al-Katibah Square
- Al Maqwasi
- Sheikh Zayed (Target few days ago too)

Until now no casualties.
In an interview yesterday on Al Hura (US state media), Lebanese foreign minister Charbel Wehbe accused Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries, implicitly, of funding and arming ISIS and Al Qaeda.

KSA replied today by accusing him of drug smuggling out of everything else.

West Bank and Interior (Palestinians with Israeli citizenship) started their open strike in protest of the occupation and the aggression on Gaza.

Seen on the pictures, Yafa, part of the strike despite the decades of attempts to judify it.
In the past 12 hours, only two rockets were fired (few) from Gaza despite continuous Israeli aggression on Gaza and the massive air raid with dozens of jets at dawn.

Israel is trying to be the "last to shoot" before the soon-to-be-achieved ceasefire?
Let's ask a question here.

This is a one-ton bomb that didn't explode. It's one of IDF's targets from its target bank.

Question is...what is the target here other than a small house and a narrow alley? What makes this worth attacking?
The 5-hour ceasefire (no rocket launch from Gaza) was in exchange of reopening the border crossing to allow entry of fuel and goods, according to Israeli army radio correspondent.

Do not interperate this as an inability to launch or disruption of the ability. The factions' doctrine focuses on surviving air attacks. That's their task #1.
