Israeli "Maariv" newspaper:

- The Israeli army needs a strong and large army, to carry out a major military campaign in Lebanon and at the same time a war on several fronts. Many senior reserve officers warn that the "reserve situation is weak and greatly eroded".

- Day after day, the IDF is reducing its reserve force, attempting to reach the "small professional army", but according to Israeli military analysts, the army is failing to compensate manpower with technology.

- Even the infantry currently serving has failed. IDF is overrelying on special forces and the airforce.
People have been stuck in their cars for hours on the Naameh highway because several pro Hariri rioters blocked it as usual.

People are appealing to the security forces to re-open the road.

Shortage of medicines:

Medicine importers have issued a statement refusing the new prices of medicines at an exchange rate of 12,000 (an increase from 1,500), stating their demand of another 50% increase up to the black market exchange rate of 24,000.

Therefore and until then, they are unlikely to provide the market with medicines, unless the ministry increases the prices. Thus, the situation has not been resolved.
