US embassy in Beirut:

US Treasury officials will visit Lebanon to discuss issues related to corruption, illicit financing, and counter-terrorism (i.e. countering Hezbullah).

They will visit Lebanon between 19-21 July and will meet with interlocutors from the financial sector and civil society groups (NGOs).
The Presidency of the Republic sets Monday, July 26, as a date for parliamentary consultations to nominate a new Prime Minister.

The detailed schedule of appointments will be issued shortly.
⋯ This is faster than last time, but it is unclear who they are planning to name. No leaks yet.

Are FPM and Hezbullah going to form alone a government similar to Diab's but with more loyal ministers instead of technocrats, or do a compromise on a unity government?

Diab's government failed for several reasons:
⬥ Amal made sure to obstruct anything done by FPM, and vice versa.
⬥ The USA had several loyal ministers, including minister of defense and deputy PM Zeina Akar.
⬥ France refused to cooperate.

Election at Syndicate of Eng.:

The new head of the Syndicate of Engineers, Aref Yassine from the village of Houla in south Lebanon, cemented his victory speech after his nomination yesterday by attacking Hezbullah and accusing it of being the protector of the current Lebanese system.
Election at Syndicate of Eng.:

Aref Yassine is close to anti-Hezbullah activists from Al-Amine family, and generally supportive of Lokman Slim, a pro-Israeli activist who was murdered on February 4.
Eid Mubarak to all those who celebrate, hopefully yearning to the day Mecca is free and back to its destined glory as a center of political and cultural Islamic work instead of a Hilton hotel.
In the past 24 hours, Lebanon recorded 215 new COVID-19 cases and one new death.

About 15,000 PCR tests were done.
Between the 4th and 10th of July Israel recorded 1,736 new cases of COVID-19.

85% of the new cases are of ‘’fully vaccinated’’ people.

My deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Iraq over the tragic loss of life today after a cowardly attack by ISIS on shoppers in Eid market.

Rest in Peace🌹

I won't be able to update news until I have access again.
Earlier at dawn, 2 x 122 mm rockets were fired from south Lebanon into occupied Palestine.

One was intercepted while the other impacted. No faction or Hezbullah took credit, but it is likely related to the Israeli aggression on Syria hours earlier.
⋯ Was this Hezbullah preparing to create a new deterrence equation?

Attack Syria and rockets will be fired? Attack Jerusalem and the Palestinian factions will respond from Lebanon? And many more questions.

What is clear is that IDF is in awe at who was shooting today and the 3 times earlier. IDF is still refusing to accuse Hezbullah, while Israeli media is accusing Hamas.

IDF's weak responses are but proof of the strength of the deterrence equation.

With the scandal of Israeli spyware “Pegasus” by “NSO” sold to Arab dictatorships, it was revealed that Saudi Arabia used it against Lebanese officials and Hezbullah.

Saudi Arabia spied on the Lebanese president, prime minister, central bank governor, head of Hezbullah liaison, Hezbullah MPs, Gebran Bassil, and Samir Geagea.

They also targeted the head of the General Security, Brig. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, and Lebanon's ambassador to France.
