Southern Syria:

According to the Russian MoD, at dawn today, between 5:40 and 05:54, two Israeli F-16 jets, without entering the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic, fired two missiles from the south-west direction at targets in the Sayeda Zainab area. Both were intercepted.

I can't tell if what the Russian MoD stated is true. Why would two F-16s fire two rockets when they can carry many more? If the 2nd was there for accompanying the first, why not fire the two missiles from one jet?

A group of protestors attempted to storm ex PM Najib Mikati's house in Beirut but clashed with his security.

Earlier this morning, a diesel tank on a rooftop in Cola area exploded due to heat and inadequate storing.

As of now, the outcome of the binding parliamentary consultations so far:

- Najib Mikati: 52 votes
- Nobody: 2 votes

The Israeli National Security Institute (INSS) issued a report to the Israeli government on how to deal with the economic crisis in Lebanon:

⬥ Urge Israel’s Western partners, USA and France, as well as its new friends in the Gulf, to provide immediate and targeted aid to the Lebanese people by requiring close oversight of the delivery, in order to prevent it from reaching Hezbullah's supporters.

⬥ Strengthen the Lebanese army, without giving it weapons that would pose a threat to Israel's security, since the Lebanese army has proven so far that it is the only entity capable of maintaining internal order.

⬥ On the military level, in addition to preparing for the possibility of a confrontation, examine whether the crisis in Lebanon provides Israel with the opportunity to target Hezbollah's capabilities seriously.

⁠💰 The true face of US aid:

Since 2006, according to the US embassy in Beirut, the USA provided 2.5 ⁠billion USD to the Lebanese army, and less than half a billion to the ISF.

As a result, out of the 10 ⁠billion that US ⁠State Department's David ⁠Hale told Congress (watch here), of ⁠which 1.3 ⁠billion was spent through the “US ⁠AID” since 2006, there was about 5.7 ⁠billion to support Lebanese polical parties, media, and NGOs, to counter Hezbollah.
