Hezbollah issued a statement about a truck stopped in Shwayya, Hasbaya:

"After the Islamic resistance has executed its retaliation, and while the fighters were going back, they passed by Shwayya, Hasbaya district, where a group of civilians obstructed their way.
The Islamic Resistance was, and is, and will always be the most careful about the security of civilians and not expose them to any danger during its work of resistance.
And it is who pays with blood from its youth to protect Lebanon and its people."

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah:

⬥ 15 years of security

- Israel used to bomb Lebanon with impunity. Since 2006, in 15 years, there hasn't been an Israeli strike in Lebanon – except for the 2014 strike at the border which led to no casualties, and we responded to this immediately in the Shebaa Farms.

- There have been no strikes & no commando raids, even counting the 2019 drone attack in Beirut which the Israelis didn't claim. There have been minor aerial incursions, and in future I'll discuss the Resistance advances to deal with this.

- The Lebanese must ask themselves why Israel has not done this in 15 years. Is it because Israel adheres to international law, or this is a reflection of their values, morals, or religion? Of course not. It's because they fear confrontation with the Resistance.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah:
⬥ Recent rocket fire

- Recently, what the Zionists have been doing is to gradually try to change the deterrence equation – if we're quiet on less sensitive targets [airstrikes in Syria], they'll follow up with more sensitive attacks.

- In recent days, there were rockets that hit Kiryat Shmona, and Israel responded with two air strikes in Lebanon. Most people in Lebanon didn't feel this, except in the area where the strikes happened – the enemy chose midnight to maximize terror on locals – and they issued a statement saying they targeted open areas, which we mirrored in our statement on our retaliation.

- There are matters which require immediate response. There are others which can wait days, weeks, or months. The killing of Ali Kamel Mohsen is an example. We were planning for months to kill an Israeli soldier in retaliation, but they were hiding along the entire border.

- We chose to fire rockets during the day so civilians near the border wouldn't be afraid as during the night. We did it at daytime intentionally, because our fighters are brave and care for civilians. Everything we did was intentional.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah:

⬥ About Shwayya

- I want to address the incident that occurred in Shwayya, where some people stopped the rocket-firing truck that was returning with 11-12 non-fired rockets. Its seizure caused a lot of anger in this country. I consider myself a rational, calm person. But when I saw the video of the incident, I became very saddened.

- The accusation that we were firing from civilian areas is a lie [Hezbollah released the video]. The remaining rockets also indicate the discipline of the resistance fighters. If you count empty rocket launchers, you'll see 20 were fired, in adherence to military orders. We wanted to target a specific area in Israel void of civilians, to avoid escalation. The only way to get there was to cross through these villages.

- I don't want anyone to think that the attackers were "the people of Shwayya." They were only a handful of people, and many from Shwayya came out to protect the resistance fighters, and even to make sure four of them were safely delivered to LAF. Many local municipalities even noted this. I want to commend the members, leaders of the Druze community for their response.
