Anniversary of the July War:

On this day, 13th of August 2006, and one day before the end of the war, the defeated Israeli army out of frustration and wickedness attacked Imam Al-Hassan housing complex in Beirut killing 30 civilians, all elderly, women, and children. (1/2)
In 20 raids, the Israeli army fired 34+ guided rockets penetrating buildings, in less than two minutes.

Deputy Secretary General of Hezbullah Sheikh Naim Qassem:

- We will not accept to be attacked (by Israel) even if our response leads to luring the Israelis into a wide battle, because then the decision to start that battle will be on Israel.

President Aoun called on the Council of Ministers to convene exceptionally for the utmost necessity in a session devoted to addressing the serious repercussions and consequences of the crisis of the lack of oil derivatives in the local market.

President Aoun: The Governor of the Central Bank insists on his position despite the laws and decisions that enable him to reverse his decision and re-provide support for oil derivatives.
PM Hasan Diab refused to attend and call for the meeting, citing law 64 in the constitution that limits the work and abilities of a resigned government.
