-- Hezbullah vs Israel.
As we all can notice for weeks IDF AF has been increasing its earlier activity fearing Hezbullah is taking advantage of COVID-19 quarantine to smuggle allegedly needed weapons and sophisticated technology to Lebanon. However, IDF never cared about that exact situation and for years have been attacking Hezbullah assets in Syria making sure no human losses to avoid retaliation from Hezbullah.
What happened in this week happened few times before in 2013 when they killed head of Hezbullah's technology unit Hasan Lakkis, in 2015 when they killed Samir Al Kintar, in 2016 when they killed Jihad moghnieh and his team, and in 2019 when they killed two Hezbullah fighters in Damascus. IDF tried two days ago to kill three Hezbullah commanders and failed, therefore what happened tonight was a message from Hezbullah that we are on the border and we can carry attacks too. What happened tonight was a deterrence message to Israel to stop its new aggression or the situation will escalate.
