Very disturbing scenes today from Afghanistan, after the US forces shot dead many Afghan locals attempting to escape. Several fell from airplanes, while hanging on their wheels, and crashed onto houses.

USA proved things could be worse than Saigon. Much worse.

Sanctions on political class:

⬥ US Ambassador Dorothy Shea: "We welcomed the new sanctions announced by the European Union to enhance accountability and reform in Lebanon, and we will continue to coordinate with our partners on the necessary measures."

⬥ On July 30, the European Union adopted a legal framework for the possibility of sanctions on Lebanese individuals and entities responsible of:
- obstructing the formation of a government or the holding of election;
- obstructing plans to improve accountability and good governance in the public sector;
- serious financial misconduct.

It consists of a travel ban to the EU and an asset freeze.

Gaza: The Israeli occupation army confiscated 23 tons of chocolate before entering Gaza, on the basis that they will be sold to fund Hamas.

Four #Palestinian teenagers were shot dead last night by the Israeli occupation forces in Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank. The four were identified as Nour Jarrar, Raed Abusaif, Amjad Hussainiya, and Saleh Ammar.

Quoting this IDF statement, we can officially say the IDF operation in Gaza failed to deter Hamas and achieve its objectives.

Resistance in Gaza fired two rockets at occupied Palestine.

Beqaa - NNA:

⬥ 400,000 liters of diesel were confiscated by the Sixth Intervention Regiment in central Beqaa. Work is underway to distribute it for the benefit of hospitals, bakeries and Zahle Electricity.

⬥ More than 200,000 liters of diesel were seized in eastern Baalbek and will also be distributed to hospitals and bakeries in the area.

Clahses in Sidon city, accompanied by gunfire, over a dispute related to subnoscriptions to private electricity generators.

The dollar exchange rate decreased further to 18,000 LL.

This decease is likely related to the positive news about the upcoming formation of a government in Lebanon.

Diesel confiscated in Beqaa:

According to local reports, the fuel was confiscated from Ibrahim Al-Sakr, a leading figure in the "Lebanese Forces" militia. (1/2)

Shortage of fuel:

Banque du Liban agreed the purchase of two shipments of fuel for the companies “Liquid Gas” and “Universal Terminals” at an exchange rate of 3900, containing 80 ⁠million ⁠L of diesel. This is sufficient for 5 to 6 ⁠days.

However, it refused to buy a 40 ⁠million ⁠L of gasoline shipment.
