The Jordanian Ministry of Energy: Jordan is ready to provide all possible support to Lebanon, by providing it with electricity from the Jordanian network and delivering Egyptian gas.

⋯ One a side note, Jordan is among the most dependent in the world on foreign energy sources, with 93% of the country's energy needs coming from imported oil and natural gas from neighboring Middle Eastern countries.

As of 2020, Jordan started to import Israeli gas to generate electricity in 10's of billion worth of natural gas purchase.

⋯ The biggest issue with Jordan's electricity offer, besides the issue of using Israeli gas, is to keep Lebanon dependent on foreign electricity grids, instead of having a sovereign one.

Currently, Lebanon buys Syrian electricity and rents 1-2 Turkish ships for electricity generation. Adding Jordan & Egypt will only increase Lebanon's dependency, while wasting the money to advance Lebanon's own grid.

The IMF loans should be used to achieve Lebanon's long-term goals, and not temporary solutions.

🚨 Massive explosions in Damascus, Syria.

About 5-6 Israeli missiles were flying over Lebanon towards Syria.

Syrian AD intercepted at least 2.

The explosions heard in Beqaa are from Syria. Syrian AD is engaging the Israeli rockets.

Two civilian airliners were under imminent danger because of the Israeli attack from over Lebanon:

- Airbus A321 of Pegasus, flight PC862

- MEA Airbus A321, flight ME419

According to Al Jadeed, two missiles fell in the Qalamoun area on the Lebanese-Syrian border.

It's unknown if they are Syrian AD missiles, or intercepted Israeli rockets like last time.

The Israeli military outposts facing Aita, on the Lebanese border were broadcasting on the loudspeakers orders (in Hebrew).

They were heard clearly in the border village of south Lebanon.

Syrian Army:

At approximately 23.03 in the evening today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction southeast of Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus and Homs.

Our air defenses have confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down the majority. The results of the aggression are now being assessed.

Preliminary information: The Israeli aggression targeted points located in the towns of Deir Attia and Qara (Ara) in the western countryside of Qalamoun.

This is in the same area Hezbullah fought ISIS and Al-Qaeda in 2017.

Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Fadi Al-Hassan:

The control towers in Syria and Cyprus asked the two planes to change their course due to the Israeli attack. They then returned back to course and landed normally at Beirut Airport.
