Governmental sources: A Lebanese ministerial delegation will soon visit Damascus, Amman and Cairo to discuss the import of electricity to Lebanon.

Reports that the central bank will raise the dollar exchange rate at banks for monthly withdrawals from 3,900 LL up to 10,000 LL due to the rise in the black market exchange rate to 20,000 LL.

The decision will be taken by the Committee on Finance and Budget next week if it is approved.

Minister of Health Hamad Hassan raided a medicine warehouse in Fayadiya, east of Beirut, containing large quantities of hoarded medicines.

Hamad Hassan:

- Any drug hoarder must be arrested but his pharmacy or warehouse is to be kept open to citizens.

- No monopolist will be protected and all of them must be exposed.

- I will allow emergency import of any medicine that is not available in Lebanon.

The Lebanese pollster “International Information” released an opinion poll on Hezbollah's importation of Iranian fuel:

- Support: 60.1%
- Oppose: 22.3%
- Neutral: 17.6%

65.1% expressed their willingness to buy the fuel that Hezbullah will import from Iran.

Now: The Minister of Public Health raided a warehouse hoarding medicines in Ain al-Mraiseh, Beirut.

PM designate Mikati to Al-Arabiya commenting on the Iranian ship:

No one wants more sanctions on Lebanon, but I say to the critics and the Arab League, “Give us a candle.” We cannot say no to the ship without having an alternative. Lebanon will remain under the Arab wing.

More than 100,000 packages of Colchicine (medication used to treat gout and Behçet's disease) were found in the raid carried out by the Minister of Health today to a drug agent's warehouse in Fiyadiye, and to an unlicensed apartment belonging to another agent in Ain El Mraiseh.

The owner of the warehouse is the wife of the Future Movement candidate on Beirut’s list in the past elections, ex Head of Pharmacy Syndicate Dr. Rabie Hassouna.
