Investigation on port blast:

Judge Ghassan Oweidat asked the judicial investigator of the Beirut explosion, Judge Tariq Bitar, to prepare a report on what is being circulated about an oral message that he received via mediation from Wafiq Safa and leaked to journalists. (Public Prosecution)

The fake message that was leaked to journalists by Bitar contains an explicit threat to Bitar. It was reported by journalists such as:

An ISIS sleeper cell was arrested in Tripoli, northern Lebanon who purchased weapons and ammunition in order to carry out security operations, taking advantage of the deteriorating situation in Lebanon.

The cell started its activities last June, and carried its first operation by assassinating the retired First lieutenant Ahmed Murad in Tripoli on 08/22/2021.
