Information Int. estimates that about 30% of the citizens who queued at the stations aimed to trade in gasoline.

They created a parallel market for gasoline, the size of 2 million liter daily, with an average profit of 300,000 LBP/sale amounting to a $270 million profit.

This excludes the illegal business of the petrol stations in the black-market, and the illegal sale of gasoline by importing companies to Syria.

Lebanon imported more fuel in 2021 than in previous years.
16 kg olive oil gallons will be sold this year at a price up to 1,700,000 LBP ($100 USD).

In the previous years, the price used to vary between 100,000 LBP and 200,000 LBP depending on quality and year of production.
