🦠 After the scandal of the fraudulent COVID-19 vaccine data at the “Batroun Governmental Hospital”, another case of corruption broke out in this hospital, this time about theft.

Al-Akhbar is reporting a theft of “masks, paws, and supplies to prevent the coronavirus epidemic, which were donated to the hospital by civil associations and municipalities”. According to the sources, “the stolen items were sold in a number of stores in the locality”.
The dollar exchange rate increased to 18,500 LBP/USD, approaching slowly its all time highs.
Iranian MFA's visit in Lebanon:

President Aoun assured Iranian MFA Abdollahian of Lebanon's support for the efforts being made to enhance rapprochement between the countries of the region.

Abdollahian assured President Aoun that Iran will always stand by Lebanon.
Jordanian Energy Minister:

- We hope to deliver electricity to Lebanon by the end of this year.

- Any company that will work on electricity transmission to Lebanon will not violate USA's sanctions - Caesar's Law.

Iranian MFA's visit in Lebanon:

Abdollahian continued his official visits meeting PM Mikati, Parliament speaker Berri, and the Lebanese foreign minister.

Abdollahian: Iran is ready, through its experience, to contribute to the rebuilding of the port of Beirut at Lebanon's request. The Iranian companies are ready to build two electric power plants for Lebanon in just 18 months with a capacity of 1,000 MW each.

- Hezbullah changed its opinion today and said it would not oppose the expatriate elections, despite the disadvantages due to foreign country laws.

- Lebanese Forces party wants the expatriates to elect candidates in Lebanon, while Amal movement prefers to allocate 6 seats for them

Big hike in fuel prices

The price of a 95-octane gasoline rose by 27,400 LBP, 98 octane by 27,900 LBP, and so on.

- Gasoline 95 octane: 233,800 LBP
- Gasoline 98 octane: 241,400 LBP
- Diesel: 207,900 LBP
- Gas: 178,800 LBP
Al-Ghobeiri municipality continues the campaign to register the names of those wishing to obtain a free Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19 for the age group from 16 to 49 years for residents within its area of responsibility.
State Security found about 20 tons of ammonium nitrate in bags in a warehouse in Hosh El Harima in the Bekaa Valley.

This is the 3rd major bust of illegal high concentration ammonium nitrate.
