The shooting heard in Beirut's southern suburbs is from the funerals of those killed in yesterday's ambush and clashes that followed.

Hashem Safi El-Din continues by saying that they knew of the existence of anti-protest gatherings, but did not proceed with the protest until the security forces allowed it after securing the roads.

An odd contrast after yesterday's events.
Saudi Foreign Minister: We are concerned about the political and economic situation in Lebanon, which requires immediate action.

Events of the past two days show that Lebanon needs real and serious change, as the responsibility lies on the leaders.
As of tonight, the Lebanese army arrested 19 individuals connected to yesterday's ambush and clashes that followed.
Of the 19, there are two Syrians and George Touma who drove the militants and coordinated the ambush with Lebanese Forces party officials.
