The Lebanese naval forces managed to thwart the smuggling of people by sea and arrested 54 people (25 men, 9 women and 20 children), who were on the Balan Island - Tripoli, waiting for the arrival of a number of boats that will transport them illegally across the sea to Europe.
The Israeli commando brigade, which is formed of 3 units constituting Maglan, Egoz and Duvdevan, are undergoing a 5-week training on how to interrogate Lebanese in Arabic and get used to the homes in Lebanon.

They are training for questioning the minors as well as the elderly.
Greater Beirut: The locals of Ain El-Remmaneh called for a gathering tomorrow, Monday at 8:30 ⁠am, in front of the Military Court, in Al-Mathaf, to support the detainees behind the Tayyouneh ambush.

The Merchants Association of Chiyah in Karm Al-Zaytoun, Ain El-Remmaneh and Furn Al-Shebbak, have also called on all merchants to close their shops on Monday, November 1, from 8 ⁠am to noon.

Hebrew media: IDF northern command begins a month-long "increased readiness" drill, during which numerous exercises will be conducted to simulate an "intense and prolonged battle," with both connoscript and reserve troops, the military says.
⋯ The new IDF drills fall under this scenario:

An IDF Air Force attack on Iran from the Gulf counties and Azerbaijan, followed by an Iranian missile response, triggers the first "Northern War" involving Lebanon and Syria.
