An IED placed inside a chocolate box was discovered and diffused in Bchamoun area.

As of now, it is not related to terrorist organizations or foreign agents.
⋯ A military expert is currently dismantling the IED.

Back story: The chocolate box arrived as a gift to the daughter of a Brigadier General.

⋯ Plot twist: The package was sent to the office of a brigadier general in the Lebanese army about a year and a half ago, and he in turn, gave it to his daughter, who discovered by chance, the explosives.

The aforementioned brigadier was retired more than a year ago.
⋯ The IED was assembled using ammonium nitrate and not military grade explosive compounds.
