⋯ Nelson highlighted the close U.S. relationship with the Lebanese Banking Association, and its commitment to combating corruption, money laundering and terrorism financing. Nelson stressed the commitment of the United States and the American Treasury to support the Lebanese people and continue to confront Hezbullah and its ability to exploit the Lebanese and global financial system.

He called on the Lebanese banks and government institutions to participate in the change by tackling corruption and preventing Hezbullah from gaining access to the Lebanese financial system.
