Similar to most Israeli air defense systems, R&D of the Arrow-3 system was funded by US tax payers ($1,189 million since 2008, with a peak of $310 million in the 2018 fiscal year). Is it conjointly manufactured by Boeing (45%) and Israeli Aerospace Industries.
The system scored its first intercept test in December 2015. It should intercept ballistic missiles at the exoatmospheric stage (altitude of 100 km). Israel reportedly sold two batteries to Azerbaijan in 2021. (Wikipedia)
